  8. ' afternoon all from red dragon land. Lovely hot and sunny day yesterday at the Conwy Valley R.. Two other drivers yesterday, so I took a back seat. Strange, after 14 months absence, sitting in the cab, again, waiting for the pressure to come up or, rather, refreshing my memory. I did go round in the coaches on its trip from shed to the station. That led to going off to get the shears and cutting back an overhanging lineside bush. Always something! I did not say for how long I played... the main reason I ducked out of driving was because my, previously injured, arm was complaining after too many sessions on the fife the previous day so I thought it best not to make it worse! I did a little job for the shop, instead. It was a bit of a faff printing off the music download (from Safari) because the printer would not rescale the images as recommended so it meant exporting as a PDF, then as an image file, finally resizing that to A4. So today, I start to tackle some new fingering patterns for playing page 2. Fitt and Elfie taking advantage of the warm weather. Take care all and play safe. _________ Best wishes Polly

Mother's Day plant repotted into something bigger - from china wellies to a cane basket - previous contents overwatered and died. Toot on the flute went well and not so well, but well enough to decide to buy Man of Law so that I have the next two pages to work out the rest of the piece for my fife. Mugadecaf time - catchup later. Fitt and Elfie showing promise. Take care all and play safe. _________ Best wishes Polly

  18. The top lefthand corner of Wales has a bit of a reputation, though I only really remember the one of 1984, when I thought it was either a rather noisy lorry nearby or blasting in one of the quarries. https://www.theguardian.com/world/shortcuts/2013/may/29/llyn-peninsula-uk-earthquake-hotspot
