  3. Does anyone want a referee? Water pistols at dawn? PPE optional.
  4. The last time I was on the tube in London, a young lady gave up her seat for another lady half my age and I was left standing! I did not mind - Maybe I didn't look old enough...and wondered what I could do about it! It kept me amused for the length of the journey! Maybe I was not old after all!
  5. 'afternoon all from red dragon land. Tipping it down...not much wind to speak of Some of the H word to do but hopefully I will muster up some mojo to finish off the pobl bach for The Prisoner bus. I am thinking of using the livery of the mini moke for the VW bus with yellow stripes on the otherwise plain white seats and a plain yellow lower half of the bus body with just a pennyfathing on each side (facing the right way!). I could go all white but I need the yellow to reflect the autumn colours of the estuary and trees on the cakebox which is why I used it in the first place. Note, I said, thinking....only a tiny amount of my thinking ends up in action! Time to think about making a mugadecag and lunch.... Fitt and Elfie thinking about it. Thinking of you all. Take care and play safe. _______ Best wishes Polly

  10. ' afternoon all from red dragon land. Wet and windy or Chuckinitdarn and blowing a hooley - whichever you prefer. This afternoon's click n collect groceries sorted and stored away. Thumb (almost recovered) and opposite index finger (yes, cut the other day on scissor blade whilst cleaning it!) both received a new plaster. BoDitis? Is it catching one wonders? Hope BoD is well, by the way. Toot on the flute the last few days, despite the plasters over the holes, has been promising, Today? Less said.... Listening to Boy George. 'Nothing' to watch on the screen was handy when doing the click n collect when I kept it full screen - not distracted! Playing it again so I can listen to the words and move to music! Fitt and Elfie keeping pace. Take care all and play safe. _________ Best wishes Polly
  11. May I be permitted to boost John's posting re the Lava Wall construction vehicles with a couple of short videos highlighting their attempt to halt and deflect the lava flow in Iceland. I am still following the volcanic events - I never seem to tire of it. I just wish all this media stuff had been around when I did geography and geology at school. The National Geographic magazine was about as colourful as it got, but not necessarily on curriculum topics. Still, I am thoroughly enjoying what we have now, and I DON'T have to sit an exam! 28secs in: Project Leader explains Vehicles at work
