The extremely beautiful EWS Class 66 has also arrived here in the Netherlands. My special compliments for the model, the great sound, the very nice packaging and the fast shipping by DPD to the EU...... But here too there are problems on R2 rails with pulling two-axle vehicles from the rails, for example the Hornby Hoppers. In the meantime, the hook has been removed from the Class 66, which is going better...... More tinkering tomorrow.

Unfortunately, this video says nothing. In a few seconds a Class 66 flashes by at high speed. Of course, this says nothing about the real driving characteristics or the sound. Why doesn't Accurascale make a professional movie with sound from one of their prototypes. There must be one available already, right?

Well, what is the profit for the customer, you buy something because you want the product and the price and service are as desired. Buying up an old company name like "Hattons" doesn't change that. Then you just buy from RoS...... Don't expect the number of advertising emails to go from 3 to 6 per day... I don't know any company that sends as many emails as RoS!
-
Whether or not there is an option to unsubscribe, it remains a very strange move by Hattons to transfer their entire database to former competitor ROS without the consent of their customers...

"Rails of Sheffield will be taking over the Hattons email database" How is it possible that a commercial company takes over the entire database from another company? Hattons customers never gave permission for this......

Heljan 00 gauge Class 33 speaker recommendations
Dutch-Traindriver replied to steveb860's topic in DCC Sound
Is there place for one Esu Sugar cube insite the Heljan 3388 (class 33) loco, or only into the fuel tank ? -
Thanks Rails of Sheffield for the response. On Monday evening, January 8, I have already received a total of 14 emails. I really don't think it is extremely important to send every piece of news directly and immediately to the email. This can be done by waiting for the next email, for example if sent in the late afternoon. Then you would only have to send 7 emails per week. I don't know of any other company at home or abroad that sends so many emails than ROZ.

Impact of Running Brake Test on running times
Dutch-Traindriver replied to Stevebr's topic in UK Prototype Questions
But for the sake of imaging, which is an interesting subject after all, is a stationary braking test also taken before departure? Or is the driving brake test the only one? -
Impact of Running Brake Test on running times
Dutch-Traindriver replied to Stevebr's topic in UK Prototype Questions
In the Netherlands I know of only one such incident where a train did not brake, 30 years ago. The air hose between the pulling locomotive and the carriages was not connected. The braking system was empty and the brakes were therefore released. This would have come to light with a stationary braking test... -
Impact of Running Brake Test on running times
Dutch-Traindriver replied to Stevebr's topic in UK Prototype Questions
It might be interesting to find out in which countries a driving brake test is carried out (at a more or less fixed time during the journey), and in which a stationary brake test is considered sufficiently safe. It seems like an English custom to me. In the Netherlands, for example, a driving brake test is never done. Only when it snows, but when is there snow in the Netherlands..., extra braking is applied to keep the brake discs free of ice. -
Impact of Running Brake Test on running times
Dutch-Traindriver replied to Stevebr's topic in UK Prototype Questions
In almost all countries there is no driving braking test, because then it is no longer useful... Here they always do the braking test before departure. On trains with a diagnostic system, a brake test is only performed once a day, or immediately at a standstill after coupling/uncoupling. -
Yes, they all come from Rails of Sheffield itself. Offers, discount codes, discounts at their E-Bay store, promotions, preorder announcements and news announcements. Asked if they could reduce it to a few per week maximum. But it seems to be necessary to maintain turnover...

Every day, 3 to 4 emails, 7 days a week, even if there really is nothing to report. Fortunately, not every company does this spam, so I'll unsubscribe....
