    I used to train spot in Swindon in that period and I don't remember any Blood and Custard carriages, if I recall correctly, they were either Maroon or increasingly Chocolate and Cream

    I know that South Coast to the North East trains via the Great Central used to see GWR Halls as far as Leicester and sometimes Nottingham but does anyone know of Castles using this route please? I'm modelling the GC in Northamptonshire and have an old Hornby Castle purchased in 1961 which I would like to use for nostalgic reasons but cannot find any photos of them on this route!
