Re the discussion on tractor loads. Taken at Quainton Road in 2006. Definitely chains in use on the Conflat but not sure how representative it is

I have used the frog juicers and haven't had any issue with sparks. They operate without any issues. Have a Gaugemaster version which works well too. Simon

Hi, I'm trying to wire several Tortoise Switch machines following the wiring guide in the instructions. I have chosen method two which is the bi polar method using two 6 volt DC transformers wired in series. Getting power to the machines but nothing happens! any advice greatly appreciated. Hi, Just received an Email from Rails of Sheffield cancelling my order for a green Class 73 (Dapol DCC fitted Class 73 4D-006-004D), very disappointing. All Rails would say is that they were no longer getting this item from Dapol and therefore had to cancel my order. Can anyone shed any light on this? Many thanks Simon

Same thing happened to me two weeks ago. I chased them up via the chat line and got a similar response. My order was dispatched two days later. Cheers Simon -
I'm on my third BG. The first one arrived with one of the driving wheels off its axle due to a cracked boss. The replacement suffered the now familiar motor failure in the front unit. Hattons swapped out this unit and now the third iteration is running happily with 50 minerals. Maybe it's third time lucky. Living in New Zealand its a long way to return models that are faulty, happily Hattons refunded my postage costs on each occasion. Regards Simon

The price looks particularly sharp when compared to a model such as the Bachmann Tube Wagon.

According to an Email from Kernow I received 1st September, my sound equipped Western Princess had been packed and was ready for dispatch. As it has to travel to the other side of the world I'm hoping it will arrive here sometime this coming week.

I compromise with fitting couplings; just install a Kadee on the rear end preserving the buffer beam detail at the front. Cheers Simon
