  1. Only 2 valve SOHC Suzuki engine I have controlled, rest were 2 stroke or TSCC
  2. Had this happen when I was the only vehicle and one more parked next to me I had to whack its door to open mine. Yes 2 cars in carpark and the second car had to park too close to the first that I had to really squeeze to get in
  3. Not in the book, so may be a similar aged carriage, may be a D95, not sure what was prior to the bow ended stock. I only really studied preserved stock.
  4. That is a brake end carriage, possibly newer as looks flat ended, will look it up later, got a Platform 5 book somewhere
  5. Just seen this thread, I tried to raise the money to buy one many years ago, managed £20.
  6. With the two Mousa sided having hinges and even the Airfix based stuff the BTK would look out of place without them. It is my first Comet kit. I do think the MJT Dart bogies are nicer castings than Comet.
  7. Scrapyard engines, a great source of upgrade material. I found my mums old Avenger estate was much better with a 1600 in it than a broken 1300
  8. You can get sports systems for off road cars as well, I am tempted if mine breaks. Both engine options can be sporty.
  9. Thanks all I think I will order the etch sometime. Not going to start it anyway until the two Mousa sided Ts are complete and I have some of my DMUs out of the job list.
  10. Some advice please. Just got a Comet GWR coach kit and I have a question. I have done 2 Mousa sided carriages with hinge holes and used thin strip soldered in, looks fine. Done BR vehicles, soldered on MJT BR hinges, looks fine. Anyway no slots, nor holes. Could ruin sides doing these slots. What should I do to get decent looking hinges?
  11. It has arrived, buffers and bits for my Mousa based 1953 Ts and a Sunshine BTK. All because I wanted something to run with my Dapol 22 and my Bachmann small prairie.
  12. Hello Dave I am wondering if you do something suitable for these Extended https://rcts.zenfolio.com/diesel/br/dmu-1xx/126/ha0fc264c#ha0fc2fe4 Retracted https://rcts.zenfolio.com/diesel/br/dmu-1xx/126/ha0fc264c#ha0fc3199 If not would love 4 extended and 20 retracted
  13. Been laminating it does really need a week under a book. Can warp after a day. Week stuff is fine.
  14. I have had a number of sprts exhausts Micron on a bike 3 to 4 bhp more from 12 2 box straight through large bore system on a Sunbeam
  15. I got through on phone fine, my order Sagepay had timed out
  16. Check their Trans Pennine should be similar to that
  17. I only started mine as the windows are the same size as the 120 cross country.
  18. Or vice versa. The body profile between Swindon and Mark 1 is slightly different. SF use Mark 1 shells. Also the sides do look a little 2D Even if it was better than my WR sets or your collection of 126s at least we can say they are ours.
  19. Not after buying lots of Triang mark 1s for roofs, ends, chassis, and cutting out a big pile of sides
  20. cab ends look OK but I am going to make my own, not seen any 126/IC stuff apart from ends for sale
