I like the addition to the lift out section. Improves the area, as well as being functional.

That section looks really good. I still like the idea of low relief trees, just need mohave the time to try something similar on my own layout!

That looks really something. Good luck for the operation.

Latest set of photos are looking great. I know what you mean about buying things and then wondering why.

Well having had chance for a better look, the second fiddle yard is not really a possibility, as there is too much woodwork from the loft supports in the way! As I am going to be away again for the next ten weeks, I have time to have a re-think about how I am going to run trains at this end of the layout, as I don't want to do a complete rebuild, or at least not yet!
Not much progress to report, as I just haven't had the time. Hopefully in the summer things will be different.

No idea with the decoder issue I'm afraid. But I do like the progress you are making. I just wish I could find more time to actually work on my own layout!

I know what you mean about having a photo record of the work you have done. I have part of my layout that I am currently considering ripping up and doing again, I will, when I get the time to do so. Looking forward to seeing more soon.

Nice to see the work you have done so far. I upload to Photobucket and then copy and paste the url from there to here. Others use flickr I believe.

I also think a mixture would work well.

Had a brief look at the are in question when I got home yesterday. Need to look at it properly when i have more time and am less tired after travelling home! Might need a little more work than I first thought to create a small fiddle yard at this end of the layout. More when I have had a better look.

Village in the distance could be a combination of N gauge RTP buildings and back scene to force the perspective a little! Just a thought.

Definitely like the back scene. Not sure there are enough 37's in the last photo though.

Bridge is looking very good.

Hope the lay off is not too long and you make a speedy and full recovery.

I rather like the plan you have come up with, although I can also understand LNER4479's desire to utilise all available space! If things become "boring" with your original plan, you could look to extend into the extra space then.

Some lovely photos there and I too like the unusual angles.

The black and white photo is superb. I looked long and hard to be sure it is the model and not an original full size one!

Lovely development of the stream. Looking forward to the next instalment - very inspiring work.

Looks like a good idea for a scenic break to me.

The J50 certainly looks a lovely loco, especially with the treatment it has received.

Very impressed with the quality of the modelling of those houses.

That water tank is really coming along nicely with those added details.

Those building developments look spot on to me. It really does enhance that whole section of the layout.

Definitely looking good there. I particularly like the second of the last batch of photos. Really shows off the quality of the track for me.

Just found this thread, and thoroughly enjoyed catching up on the progress you have made. I remember visiting the area a few times myself when I was younger.
