  1. As no one else has answered this for you, neither wagon has yet appeared in a book on PoWs, hence they don't appear in this chap's spreadsheet or the Lightmoor index. The Lightmoor index doesn't include the county unless it's not obvious from the place name of the wagon. Every book so far published on PoWs is listed at the start of it. I would think the W&DCS wagon would be authentic, but I don't know about the Shaka Salt one I'm afraid. I hope this is of interest.
  2. I may be wrong, but I think only the prototype Deltics have been given a second run as a NRM special edition so far.
  3. Right, all eyes on eBay for the first speculator then! Mine has literally just arrived, so an exciting afternoon is in prospect.
  4. Thanks for the heads up Locomotion. It's great that you offer us such diverse and interesting models and I'm sure we all appreciate it very much. Perhaps though, you might consider looking into improving the way you respond to people like me who don't use forums such as this one on a regular basis? If you offer 'expressions of interest' and 'pre-orders' on your website, that does imply that you will take some action to keep those of us who take advantage of them informed of progress, even if it's just a standardised e-mail. The lack of communication has been a bit disappointing on this occasion. I'm very much looking forward to receiving my model, and it would be a big help if you could try to keep us up to date with progress for future special editions. I intend this as constructive criticism and I hope you accept it in the spirit in which it is written. If you keep producing the models, I'll keep buying them, but please let me know what's happening! Thanks again.
  5. It would be nice if they could let those of us who pre-ordered (and paid for) the models know that they are in stock and when we can expect delivery. But then I 'registered an interest' when they first gave us the opportunity to do so and never heard a thing when the pre-orders started, so a total lack of communication from them seems to be the norm. Their customer service needs a kick up the backside, regardless of how good the models they offer us are.
  6. The Shildon shop are showing 101 of the L&Y liveried version in stock this afternoon. Has anyone received theirs yet? I'll be watching out for the postie now.
  7. I ordered my model on Thursday, thanks for the heads up. However, having 'Registered an Interest' for one of these on the Locomotion site a few months ago, I actually found out from this topic that I could pre-order the model a few days back. I've received nothing from Locomotion Models to tell me the model was now available to order. What was the point of registering an interest if they weren't going to bother telling you when they wanted your money? And the page where you fill in all your contact details on their site still isn't encrypted, even if the payment page is. Please see post 140 onwards in this topic. This needs to be dealt with properly. I'm sure the model will be superb, but if I'm paying a premium for it, I'd expect the retailer to be a little more on the ball than they seem to be at the moment.
  8. That's excellent, thank you for clarifying it. Okay wallet, stand by for action!
  9. Thank you. I've no issue with their payment page. I've also bought models from the NRM site on several occasions and had no problems or concerns, but the specific page on the Locomotion site that two of us have linked to has no security at present, and it should have as it asks for personal details.
  10. It isn't an allegation. Unless I'm mistaken, they don't have any encryption on their 'expression of interest' page, which needs pointing out to them: http://www.locomotionmodels.com/potential-Bachmann-exclusives-2013.htm If I'm going to send all my personal details over the internet to a retailer, I expect the website to be secure, ie to have the padlock symbol, with a link to their valid, current security certfiicate. That page doesn't appear to have, so it's not getting my details until it's sorted out.
  11. Thanks chaps. I don't much fancy using the Locomotion page though. It's not secure, and given the details they're asking for, it ought to be.
  12. According to Model Rail (and they have photo of it in the September issue), the NRM are bringing out a L&Y lined special edition version, but there's nothing on the NRM's website about it so far.
