    Im unsure as to wheher JMRI will oporate other accessories as i dont have any others currently. though its interesting to note that it classifies turnouts as xpressnet turnouts, making me wonder if i should plug in to the xpressnet bus for switching? Ive tested whether im getting power at all points and im getting track voltage, and imput voltages to all relevent points, which makes me think that its something to do with the software. i shall give the dcc moitoring software a go, see if i get results.

    have tried both 4 greater and 4 lower addresses in JMRI, neither work unfortunatly

    Hello there. So ive succsessfully been running my in-progress layout using JMRI connected to a Lenz LZV200. so far ive encountered no issues etc. However ive just installed a ArCoMoRa MarDec board in order to control the pointwork. Board was built and setup fine, responds correctly to the test function in the MarDec software, but isnt picking up switch commands from the dcc bus? Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thanks,

    So, first proper post. Having moved to a new house at the start of the month, i now have space to start construction of the layout. i have 10ft X 9ft spare room (plus wardrope space) to fill. i have started work on the baseboard construction using Ikea metod cabinets for later built in storage. Using these units also means that the majority of the baseboard supports are all at the same height. I have approxomately 7 square meters to play with on this level. BC

    Hello all, welcome to what will hopefully become the tails of a layout roughly set around Edinburgh and the borders region of scotland. It is inspired by the Waverley route mostly and other areas of Edinburgh. The layout will be set mostly in the BR transition Era, but i intent to be able to run nearly anything from NBR/NER stock to modern stuff. No track plan is yet formalized, but i have a great many ideas to experiment with. hopefully i shall have many updates to share over the coming months.
