  1. Massa to look into legal options over 2008 F1 title outcome In an interview with the F1-Insider website last month, Ecclestone said he and then FIA president Max Mosley knew of the situation “during the 2008 season.” He added: “We decided not to do anything for now. We wanted to protect the sport and save it from a huge scandal. That's why I used angelic tongues to persuade my former driver Nelson Piquet to keep calm for the time being. “Back then, there was a rule that a world championship classification after the FIA awards ceremony at the end of the year was untouchable. So Hamilton was presented with the trophy and everything was fine. “We had enough information in time to investigate the matter. According to the statutes, we should have cancelled the race in Singapore under these conditions. “That means it would never have happened for the championship standings. And then Felipe Massa would have become world champion and not Lewis Hamilton.”
  2. Great movie - nothing beats Sean Connery as a Russian with a Scottish accent.
  3. NASA Names Astronauts to Next Moon Mission, First Crew Under Artemis
  4. This question was sparked by seeing Rapido's Toad van with the removable roof and inside cabin detail. Right now, locos are being made in such detail that wouldn't have been imaginable 20/30 years ago. But then there's only a finite amount of things that can be done with current manufacturing practices. Basically the questions are: 1) Since you've been in the hobby, when did you see the biggest jump in terms of loco/rolling stock build quality? (for example, when everything moved to China, etc) or has it been a general steady rise in detail since then? 2) How much more detail do you want on a loco/rolling stock or are you happy with the current level? Of course, shrinking people down to work the locos still might be on the cards in the future. 😆
  5. I’m always surprised how careless people are handling raw meat. E. Coli is no joke (this is coming from me having had it (probably handling raw meat incorrectly)).
  6. Ferrari have scored their fewest amount of points in the first opening 3 races since the points system was changed in 2010. They have 26 points which is one point fewer than their opening 3 races in 2020.
  7. F1 teams reach agreement on new race weekend format Friday: - First free practice - Grand Prix Qualifying Saturday: - Sprint Race Qualifying - Sprint Race Sunday: - Grand Prix
  8. But we still watch anyway! :D
  9. Next race being 4 weeks away is so unnecessary. Let’s go back to Adelaide since they are there already.
  10. And with that, Aston Martin has already eclipsed their 2022 points total. All in the first 3 races! Even by himself, Alonso is out scoring Ferrari.
  11. Or washes his hands after going to the loo!
  12. Who wants a sandwich? Apparently this photo is from early 1970s in London.
  13. I'm just saying - be careful what you wish for.
  14. Sorry, do you want another street track in a middle eastern country using oil money to sport wash their human rights abuses? or just another street track in general?
  15. Isn't not being involved indirectly being involved though?
  16. Make sure to include a golf course on the layout somewhere as I assume you have interest in that area (from your username).
  17. Is it really streamlining if the buffers stick out like a sore thumb and ruin the airflow anyway?
  18. There was a planned proper Seafire before it was decided that the RAF needed all the Merlin engines it could get it’s hands on.
  19. I'll be honest - bargains are few and far between on our side of the pond (more specifically in Canada). A lot of the time, it's just junky stuff.
  20. I found this on Facebook Marketplace and someone put a much older Hornby King body on a newer Hornby King chassis and the result looks a bit off? I can't quite put my finger on it. I guess he was really attached to the old body or the new body was broken in someway?
  21. GR had chances to get that point sooner (in spite of how that Williams car was on occasion) - but he threw it away on multiple occasions (ironically more notably both at Imola (2020 & 2021). Not to mention that a one armed man scored a point before him (Kubica - Germany 2019).
