      I just saw a "woke" advert for the New York Times where they were trying to "cancel" J K Rowling. "Imagine Harry Potter without its author." She's wealthy enough not to give a stuff, thankfully!

    I blame Hovis for the fact that every time I hear the slow movement of Dvořák's New World symphony I think of that unspecified Northern town (in Dorset), rather than (eg.) the rolling open prairies of North America.

      Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder. You can't take anything away from a beautiful piece of music. You may, however, add something through your own appreciation. Delius and Dvorak both have it for me.

    Can I just add to the earlier comments that there are 2 sides to every story, most of the German troops were not Nazis, just normal young men (and boys) doing what they had been ordered to do the same as our troops. They need to be remembered as well.

      Unfortunately they had been conscripted by one of the nastiest and most ruthless of regimes, and it was that appalling force that our soldiers were fighting against.

      There's no reason why you shouldn't finish it. I rate them as kits and have a couple of long rakes of Mk 1s. The Colourmaster (pre-coloured) ones save a lot of anguish over painting and lining.
