  1. Wondering how to carve off the guard's ducket from the Hornby ex-LMS non-corridor brake coach so that I can convert it into a pull-push trailer...

      Hi, did this conv 2 weeks ago. No need to carve off, the ducket is glued on via two round spiggots into corresponding holes, so can be prised off using a craft knife with care. Then fill the two loles with plastic rod. It's even the same body colour under the guard's ducket.

      Some LMS push pulls had the duckets left on.

      Number 24404 is an example of a ducketed push-pull trailer. Originally a D1735 brake third but converted to D1790.
