  1. 'Quite effective, but I may have to do something about the unbroken expanse of grey in the foreground. A bit of rubbish and clutter, at least?' What about kerbside drains and 'man holes' in the road? Syd
  2. I bought a Transacord recording at their website yesterday, I expected a download to start but nothing happened. Can anyone tell me how to start the download? Sorted, my security software was not returning me to the correct page. Transacord got in touch. Syd
  3. The shot above this mornings has a cloudy circle on the leading coach. Today's shot doesn't so maybe a smear on the lens yesterday? (RMWeb went down just as I tried to post this, when it came up my post was still waiting to go. I then noticed the next picture has a similar smudge, on the track.} If it were not for that I was happy with the shot. Syd
  4. Agree, plenty to see. The coaches to the right really finsih it off. Syd
  5. Please tell me if you think I am. I think you're not! Syd
  6. Thanks Bucoops, they look as if they should do the job! Syd
  7. I am about to reattach some parts to my Deltic. The Accurascale website suggests "For fitment, you will require a set of good quality tweezers" etc. Having already refitted two chains and some other parts it is wise advice! Can anyone recommend a quality set of tweezers for this job? I thought mine were good but not down to such tiny parts. I have a few more bits stiil to go on... Syd
  8. Thanks to Bucoops I was able to see which is the No 1 end. So the two small vents ? on the roof are towards the No 2 end.
  9. Could someone please tell me which end of a Deltic is No 1? The only description I could find was about the real ones at DPS and mentioned urinal outlets and suchlike😀 On the roof there are two squarish vents which seems a good reference point. I only intend to fit the pipes etc to No 1 end.
  10. Should the sound version come with the Loksound manual? I know I can download it online but the actual manual is always better.
  11. Is the Accurathrash standard in the sound fitted versions?
  12. I really like the way the chassis of the goods wagons can be seen. Syd
  13. I checked my iphone and sure enough it's gone from the app store. Strangely I had a look at my wife's iPhone SE 2 and it was still listed, I clicked it and the message shown came up.
  14. The trolley loads look very realistic, especially as it's a close up shot. Great picture overall!
  15. I'm intrigued what the connection could be, given the story contained in the lyrics'? It is great song though! Syd
  16. Thanks Graham, this is really appreciated! I think I have spent more on adhesives than on the signals. I have been watching out hoping you would post. I even tried MEK but the plastic laughed at it Tamiya Extra Thin was no good either. Regards Syd
  17. Thanks to both of you. I'm hoping someone has made these up recently and can name a specific brand that has worked for them. I used to have butanone but it became hard to get it here in NI as Royal Mail use air freight so it was hard to get it sent. I must try tp get some, might get lucky! If not I look forward to how you get on Graham.
  18. I've bought some of these and I am having difficulty getting them assembled. I've tried two types of Loctite, both thin Original and Control to attach the phone box to the aluminium pole. When dry a slight touch parts them. For the plastic to plastic parts I have tried several types of polystyrene cement, the latest being Army Painter brand which seems to be well liked. It doesn't melt the plastic at all. When try it flakes off. Can anyone please tell me what works? Thanks Syd
  19. The signals came with 1K resistors attached and they seem OK. I hadn't thought about just one on the common side. I'll change them to that when doing the installations. Again, thanks for this advice, I'd been searching the web for days but the combination of using DCC to power the points direct from the Cobalt doesn't seem to come up a lot. Syd
  20. Turning the diode round did the trick, thanks Nigel. I had thought that might be the answer but didn't want to chance trying it as LEDs are a bit of a mystery to me and Berko instructions go no further than '12v DC only'. I also emailed them with another question a while back but got no answer. Regards Syd
  21. I've attached a diagram that is part of the manual that comes with these Cobalts. Unfortunately for me the Berco signals are wired the opposite way round to that shown. I've got one to work by taking it apart and wiring it to be the same as the diagram. Doing this took me quite a while and there's always a risk of breaking the tiny parts. Can anyone tell me please if there is any way to use the signals by doing a mod of some sort without taking them apart?
  22. "I confess that I really like the first one though. I know it breaks the rules, but it has impact, for me anyway." I agree, I really like the contrast of the sunny day outside, then the dull interior. The shot emphasises the length of the train too. Syd
  23. I have started this new thread as I noticed the one I had been using says 'not questions' in it's title. I'm afraid it's a rehash of my old problems regarding copying configurations to other iPhones. The first thing is I can't get a config from one phone to another. The name of the config appears on the receiving phone and the copy option is available, press it and that title shows with any other configs where it should do. When I make the received config the current one on the receiving phone there is no data of locos or points show up in the 'cab' screen. I have tried iPhone XR to iPhone SE, both on the same version of ios 14 and iPhone 6 to iPhone 5 both on the same version of ios 12 Can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong in the above procedure? Does anyone else have any difficulty doing this? Second thing is over on the other thread Mike kindly listed the procedure to use iTunes to save a config: "If you connect your iPhone to iTunes: Select your phone in iTunes Select "File Sharing" on the left Select "TouchCab" in the apps column Select "Configuration" (the one that you want if there are many. Select "Save" at the bottom right Then with your "new" iPhone Repeat the first three steps Select "Add..." Select the file you saved" Now I've tried this a number of times over the past few days and I think I'm missing something in what I'm doing. When I get to 'save' from the first paragraph a new small screen opens, looking for somewhere to save to. On the iTunes screen it shows a folder called configuration but no data in it. If I try copying that to new folder in my PC and point the second phone to it nothing works. I'd really love to know what I'm doing wrong but have run out of ideas. Syd
  24. Hope this is a better pic.
