Surprised Chris hasn’t got a model of 47830 yet! Enjoying the progress and look forward to seeing it at Stafford.
-
Swifty, are you replying to the correct thread?
Having just realised, no I haven’t
Although I have been following this one with interest also, looking forward to seeing what you do.
-
Coming along nicely. I’ve enjoyed reading this topic being a Warrington boy. Looking forward to seeing this at Stafford although I’m surprised Chris hasn’t got you doing a 47830 yet!

Thanks to wnxxforum. From Harry Needle:
its got a new engine and subject to final connection and static test procedures it will enter the world of IM sometime in January.
Cheers,
Mick

37418 and 521 are going into colas livery according to usually reliable sources

Genuinely shocked at how overgrown the line side is looking down from Slutchers Lane Bridge.
Didn't there used to be a signal there? I'm sure there was.
Signal is just round the corner as shown in the background of this:

Shot is horribly overgrown at Slutchers now, probably one summer away from being too far gone sadly...

There was some info posted about the barrier coaches that apparently they’re only on short term hire to cover for unavailable break force runners so won’t be being repainted. But things do change so you never know!
-
Discussions also afoot from usually accurate sources that another 10 66s will be going to GB as well as the 10 initially offered for sale. These are believed to be coming from DB also with the repainting and renunbering of the first 10 66s from DB taking place in January allegedly at Eastleigh works.

I've been following this thread for a while now and i've really liked the look of the layout and how its coming along. Very smart and the modelling is excellent, despite what the men of tweed at the exhibition said. If you make it up north with it i'll gladly come to see it.
To go just infront of your sleeper in the demic loco siding one of these railway stop signs (don't know the official term) may look smart as i've seen a couple about in sidings that have been curtailed.
Keep up the good work!

Lovely looking model, but out of interest why is the Yiwu - London cab end branding not included with the standard model?

One pretty massive move, 37884, 31452 and a brand new Rail Grinder. 37884, a Europhenix loco hired to ROG who hired it to Loram Rail!

There is word circulating of them being GBRf bound although that isn't confirmed. Some have returned to active work though.

175 - A less common North West one, usually seems to be on the tests I can never get or on 3Qs at hideous times in the morning.

Colas locomotive 37099 named ‘Merl Evans 1947 – 2016’
in Bachmann
Posted · Edited by Swifty11
Most recent info suggests 099 will be out before 521, 025 went to Barrow Hill on Monday with 37607 where it will be kept as a reserve for test duties. 37611 due to go off lease by the end of Feb too.
(But as always, usual t/c thing can change quickly but 099 is due to return within weeks)
