Bachmann Europes accounts available (for free) on Companies House website, although only up to year end December 2022, give a good indication of how Bachmann handle depreciation of tooling. Overall they seem to be doing pretty well, with increasing profits year on year, and money in the bank. Accounts for other UK model railway manufacturers are also available from Companies House. Andy

I have installed a Bachmann 36-557 decoder. This gives directional head lights, front and rear marker lights at both ends independently controlled plus fans, without any programming, but both sets of dip switches have to be set to “DC Operation with Blanking Plate” otherwise no lights or fans.
