  1. Hi all

Oldswick TMD has gone modern image today for a change and to see how different loco run on the layout, the layout will probably stay with these locos for the near future due to my other stock being required for 2 exhibitions with Yorkton.

  2. Still haven't had chance to get any photos, I've been busy putting the backscene on and retaining wall, I've also started the Ballasting on the main lines.

  3. Had quite a productive week I've managed to wire the tracks and do the first stage of the points, had a first test run last night with a couple of locos no real problems just a couple of loose fish plates, hope fully get some pictures this next week.

  4. Had a day off work today but haven't had much time with the layout. I've managed to plan out the last part of the depot and cut the wires for the power droppers, should hopefully get some time later this week to get the last part of the track fastened down and temporaliy wired, then the playing can begin.

  5. Hi
I've decided to start and build a new layout using two spare boards I had. The size is 8ft x 3ft. The layout is going to be a depot with a passing mainline, I am going to use the Dapol ohle on the mainline plus two sidings. I intend to run different eras as I have stock varying from 1970's to the present day. The layout is going to be dcc controlled with sound fitted locos.

  6. Had three items cancelled by Hattons recently - Hornby Arriva Trains Wales Mk3's. Reason given "cancelled from production". However, these items were readily available elsewhere..... at a price very comparable to Hattons. I'll be posting my compliments to the alternate suppliers in a suitable thread.

I wonder if there are supply issues between Hattons and Hornby?

Hattons is often my first stop, but I will be searching beyond Hattons next time around...........

    Cheers,

    Mick

p.s I used Hattons long before tinterweb was around and used to love going into the Smithdown Road shop and seeing Norman easily recollect where any item was in the shop.

    Hi Mick
