  1. The piece I referring to is the one in the pic. These are used in conjunction with oleo buffers and instanter couplings so the couplings can reach the next vehicle. With the normal say 4-rib buffers or when using screw couplings then the one with the slot and 4 bolts. Hope that makes sense Michael
  2. Must of been when the moulds were made then as I've the masters for that and they're both the same length Michael
  3. The crossheads/slidebars were never part of MTK kits. The valvegear was part of the chassis etch (I need to redraw these at some point as the original was never very good) Do you know which parts on the tender are missing? Michael
  4. I've normally started with the floor then add the sides/ends before the underframe but found need to add 10th strip to lengthen the floor. Found it easier to clean out the buffers whilst still on the sprue. I add the heads on last holding the nut with tweezers. For holding the sides out I use a spare part of a sprue. As using oleo buffers, don't forget to use the piece that goes where the coupling hook that's on the underframe trussing mould. Michael
  5. I'll be having a go at that at some point in the future, it's doable Michael
  6. Yes there's quite a few steam locos in the range. For the BR there's Standard 4 2-6-0, 2-6-4, 4-6-0, Brit, 9F. LMS Black 5, 8F, Ivatt 2-6-0 and 2-6-2. LNER A4 and SR Q, Q1, WC/BB (original and rebuilt). There was more locos in the development stage. There is a lot of work to improve the range required which will take time. Do you know which bits are missing? Michael
  7. I use Parkside roofs and for the odd occasion slaters ones. For things longer than the usual vans then Peter Cowling vac formed roofs Michael
  8. Thanks, I can't imagine which one you'd want me to do first Michael
  9. I’ll return to the DMU etc later but decided needed to push a few wagons on bit further. They’re SR plywood and uneven plank 10 wb’ vans, a China clay wagon and a 1/185 iron ore tipper (10’ WB 8 shoe brake gear) masters michael
  10. I’ve fitted the ends to all 3 cars, I’ll remove the vertical bar on the small windows at some point. Michael
  11. I’ve done a bit more on the test etches of the Bulleid, CCT, GUV and Sleeper
  12. It definitely is according to https://www.bloodandcustard.com/hampshire001.html its 60806 from 1107. It was impounded by the police July to September 1964 Michael
  13. Hi Dave No unfortunately no real progress as been so busy trying to keep up with orders, had the test etch back a while ago and haven't had time to build it yet, I will have to make the ends soon, there's a couple of underframe boxes I need to make as well. Michael
  14. I’ve added the solebars, bufferbeams, footboards and lifting points to all 3 coaches
  15. Thanks, I would like to think there’ll be a vast improvement on the CCT when I’ve put it all together Michael
  16. Next meeting is the 19 January, Sorry won’t know what happened at the last meeting as was at work Michael
  17. Can’t believe it’s taken me a year to fit the domes to the Westdale 114 parcel unit (page 2). I hoping the measurements I took off a 127 parcel car will be the same for the roller shutter door which would give me bit more incentive to do a resin mould. I’ve also made a start on putting together one of my Cross country DMU’s which I’m doing as a 120. Michael
  18. Firstly photo of a finished 06 and put the windows in the Bulleid 15” vent third. I’ve bent up couple of the air deflectors on the windows. I’ve also put the hinges and chalk boards on the CCT. Noticed I’ve missed out 2 of the door frames for the bars which if the rest goes well i’ll add on the next drawing I do.
  19. I've had some new etches back They are:- Bulleid 15" vent Open or corridor third, BR CCT, MK1 GUV, MK1 sleeper. The GUV has the Grilles and the half etch at the rear to allow the Newspaper sorting van with the bow ends and toilet version to be produced. With the Sleeper when I do make the roof duct I'll do both lengths (think it was the BR coaching IO group the details were in) Prices except the Bulleid coach TBA Michael
  20. As per usual things were bit of a rush before Saturday, managed to finish the EPB and Gunpowder's off but never though of taking photo, Do'h Michael
  21. I’ve numbered the EPB and Gunpowder and fitted buffers to the wagons. I’ve also made some masters for a 4-REP EMU as well Michael
  22. I’ve finally got round to the EPB roofs, the gutter strip and conduit are glued on with canopy glue. The other conduits go through oo handrail knobs, just the vents and periscopes to go Michael
  23. That’s me mentioned. At the moment for the Maunsell coaches, I do the high window 6-compartment corridor Brake third, corridor door third, corridor composite, Restaurant Dining, Restaurant First (which can be modified for variants) Buffet car. When I get a chance I’ll add the diagram numbers. I do the low window open third which along with the 1935 Brake composite form the push-pull sets 601 etc. I do the 1935 open third as well. The high window ones can be made into Restriction 1 stock as well. For the Bulleid coaches at the moment I do the brake semi open third, corridor composite and Brake corridor composite (diagrams D2405 & 6) all these are 10” vents. Other diagrams can be drawn up if required. The Oakwood press books on the Maunsell and Bulleid coaches are very helpful with the sets and when they were withdrawn. Michael
  24. I've painted and numbered the Gunpowder vans, except roofs. The customer wanted the van marked XP as theres a photo in the LMS wagons volume 1 with a Gunpowder van with 9' WB incorrectly marked as XP Michael
  25. If you've loads of seats then yes its worth it, it took me longer to mark out the seats ends than to cut them out. Michael
