  1. I’ve done a touch more to the various ends/domes. I’ve added strip for the destination blinds for the 104 &105. Added the lamps and route indicator to the 105. I started the Derby L/W a while back and as having a purge on ends got bit further. For the driving end used evergreen strip to form a framework then stuck the already done outer skin on. Michael
  2. Looking good, what did you use for representing the chains on the doors? Michael
  3. Looks like they were a later addition as the photo of the BR one in GWR Freight wagons and loads in service shows didn't have when built. Also the little J pieces under the wagon body in front of the solebar were later addition, guessing added when fitted with tarpaulins. Michael
  4. To continue in what’s coming a couple more pics. The first pic shows a 304/1 MBS at the top and the bottom is the 304/2. The 304/1 MBS will providing on getting drawings also be for a 302, 305 and 308. There’s half etches on the back so the windows can be opened up to make the 305/1 & 308/3 The second pic shows 304 driving cars (the other 304/2 driving car not pictured) The top one also is for 305/2 and 308 and the bottom is the same as the 504 DMBS Just need to get round to making all the bits to go with the 304’s Michael
  5. I haven’t had a chance to update the website as been so busy. Took a picture in primer and put it here, it’s about halfway down https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/137515-mike-hughes-workbench/page/6/ Michael
  6. The last DMU seat didn’t look quite right so onto number 3. Bit less cutting and joining involved this time. I’m hoping the seats will do for most of the low density DMU’s I’ve started on the route indicator for the 104 and also started the next cab which I had to do, a 105. I made the beading round the windows using 20x 30 strip Michael
  7. I’ll be making a few moulds of the seats as going to want lots. I haven’t worked out whether it’ll be a one or two piece mould yet Michael
  8. I've had a go on starting a master for the dmu seats, bit of cutting down and shaping, currently its in 2 halves, definitely a way to go on it. Michael
  9. To say this is an achievement I feel is an understatement Michael
  10. Yes the China Clay kit is available and the RTR is available to order. Can only do 1 casting of the body a day as resin takes ages to fully harden. Michael
  11. Getting round to spraying yellow on the 124, done the grey a few days ago. Masking took a while for both driving cars. When I sprayed the roofs noticed the join between the roof and the dome so that took a few days of rubbing done and respraying Michael
  12. Yes think the modeller would do there own as the sheets would be individual and not all the same , yes would keep the master just in case need to do a remould and no don't fancy doing it again! Didn't realise that you could get lead sheet so thin. Michael
  13. Sorry to hear that, Roger helped us in the early years of our business. He also made some signals for us Michael
  14. I wasn’t going to do these with the tarpaulins namely as don’t know how to do them Michael
  15. Yes £30 for the kit and £60 RTR Michael
  16. It’s always sad to hear things are still not well with both your healths. Michael
  17. The price for the China Clay and the Palbrick A & B are £30 for the kit and £60 RTR plus p&p Michael
  18. Next new etch is for a Salmon. Have got a couple of niggles with it so need to decide whether to alter or keep as is. It has half etch rivets/bogie centre markings for both BR and LMS style Michael
  19. It’s one of them. Several different styles. This ones the Metalsmith one
  20. I’ve put the plastic square rod for the destination blind on the 110. Found I have some 20th square so used that. So now put in primer and found couple areas that needed filler. Had a rethink on the dome for the 104 and modified a casting what use on the 128, much easier to take off resin than add loads of filler Michael
  21. Many thanks Amanda For the vans I use a rivet tool and for the opens I drill lots of holes and put plastic rod through as detail is on the inside as well Michael
  22. Got some new etches back, so once I’ve done the ends, seats etc that’ll be a Class 105 to add to the range. Another version of the DMBS still to be drawn Michael
  23. I emailed Bill an order for something recently (not a chassis) and he rung me up a couple days back and said he’s got computer problems at the mo. He also said he’s never been so busy. Michael
  24. Got a coat of grey on the China clay today. I haven’t added the buffers or the safety loops for the brakes Michael
  25. Got the 104 ends in primer, now to see if anything needs altering on them. For the 110 end just need to add the destination blind box. Might try to form this with plastic rod. To bend it without it snapping I put glue on it to soften it up. For the done had a rethink and decided to use a casting of a 128 dome and alter that as the shape seems closer. Less filler! Getting there with the T/P, interiors done, believe just a bit of work on the cabs still Michael
