  K801 was the only one of its type. It was disposed of in 1995, so not that recent.

  Irish Diesel loco preservation often seems to be dogged by bad luck.
  
  Part of the trouble is that maybe 3/4 of enthusiasts live outside Ireland.
  
  Wish I could win the Euromillions, so I could help all these loco's have a healthy and prosperous future now they've lasted so long since they were retired.
