    9135 was something of a celebrity(?) for me. It was a frequent visitor to the Bournemouth area in the early 1970s on excursions and I actually rode in it :-) on a Sunday Merrymaker excursion that did the Central Wales line in about 1972 (route: Reading, Birmingham New Street, Shrewsbury, Swansea, Severn Tunnel and Reading...). There must have been an overtime(?) day in South Wales, wich was absolutely heaving with freight-train activity. Thirty-seven years ago, sigh... Bill
