  1. Clue - the village nearest to this square was judged to be one of "The Toughest Villages in Britain".
  2. Northend, west of Fenny Compton:
  3. After the Gold Rush - Neil Young
  4. Also 'The Wrecker' - watch the video!
  5. Or the result as the 'Binomial Threeothem'?
  6. Clue – this line was closed and mostly lifted after less than 20 years of service. It was later re-laid, but lasted for an even shorter time before being closed for good. In the meantime, it was used in the making of a couple of films.
  7. Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond
  8. Skellingthorpe, west of Lincoln:
  9. Streets Of Baltimore - Graham Parsons
  10. Street Fighting Man - Rolling Stones
  11. Martin, I had already seen them on Google Streetview - I should have said that. I think they're associated with the 'Works' at their eastern end, but I can't find out what those are. Edit - I've just seen your edit on your previous post. So - it appears that there are bogies on the tracks that support the pipelines. Presumably, they are pushed westwards up the track as the pipeline lengthens. That would also explain why the tracks are dead straight. Very interesting - thank you.
  12. Clue - close to the most northerly distillery not on an island. (And if anybody can tell me what these tracks are/were used for, I would be very interested!)
  13. Last Train To Glasgow Central - Billy Connolly
  14. Play a Train Song - Todd Snider
  15. Thanks for the kind thought, but I'm happily retired !
  16. Isle of Raasay (it's been used before): Thanks for getting that last one, Dagrizz - I'd given up on it.
  17. [Monty Python mode] Able to access the web before or after work, or in meal breaks - you were lucky.[/Monty Python mode] The company I last worked for considered accessing the net for non-work related reasons, using E-mail for non-work related purposes, or playing computer games (Solitaire, Free Cell etc.), even in meal breaks, to be misuse of company resources and (technically, at least) a firing offence!
