That's a brilliant idea with the cab doors and a new one to me do you mind if I pinch it for mine.
Loved the whole build by the way.

No sorry its all a bit to much for me. At the end of the day if you just sat there giving voice commands where's the fun?

Beautiful looking model thanks for sharing with us
-
Sorry to be frank I personally prefere the original girder one. Again sorry

Stands up to scrutiny to me. Looking really good.

Look forward to seeing you progress with this. Steve

Very impressive.
Living in Perry Bar in the 1960s and walked past the station on the way to school. Hanging over the bridge my memories are of green diesels, maroon coaches and if you were lucky a dirty black 5 or 8F clanking by with coal empties (can't recall ever seeing a full one always empty)

I'm looking forward to seeing this fabulous project progress.
I would be very interested in your method for white metal casting if you could give us a run down on it please.

Most interesting I'm looking forward to seeing this one progress

Very impressive Dave but I do hope you were giving that shunter a lift on your bottom loco steps as he would have had a heck of a lot of running round to keep up with you, What was the loco an 812 class?
Out of interest what is the width of the layout at this point?
ps the signals look good working as well

There is now!

Just a thought but you might have got more response if you had posted this as a general inquiry in the "Modeling questions and help" thread some one on there might have come across this problem before.

Your not my long lost twin are you, I must confess I'm a bit of a dreadnought fan my self too though I'd love to go a bit older and build one of the majestic class pre dreadnoughts

Been there tried that and still haven't finished the rake of Caledonian coaches that I started. Like you initial progress was good but the fun wears off when it comes to the detail parts and I got bored and went on to building wagons instead
I must get my act together and get back on to them now I've had a break maybe I can get a bit further this time.
-
Also simple and reliable I'm tempted to do something along those lines (sorry) as well
-
What can I say, I just love it to bits
-
That looks bloody beautiful well done you've got a loco to be proud of there. I've very much enjoyed following the build blog and its given me a lot of inspiration for some of my projects.
-
Brilliant job at first glance I thought the pictures were of Caledonian coaches so close do they look like them, this should make a lovely rake of carriages when done. I'm looking forward to more updates on these.
