      only problem is some of the corners are too tight for peco track spacings

      If you're replacing Hornby with Peco Setrack the problem that Adamphilip mentions shouldn't arise. When I've used Peco Streamline I've increased the track spacing on the corners to Setrack spacing. All this assuming that you have double track and corners, of course.

      yeah sadly there are no blueprints or plans available so just going to have to wait for the prices to come down

      18.7 m (61 ft 4 in) (middle)[1]

      22.15 m (72 ft 8 in) (driving)

      21.84 m (71 ft 8 in) (powered middle)which makes at 4mm to 1ft a middle coach is 245mm long

      Your just at the beginning of the learning curve - a steep long expensive scary curve but a learning curve none the less!
