Fan of most things steam, but mostly LMS steam, though I can be tempted by the GWR (boo hiss). Currently modelling in N gauge, though I do have a few 00 Diesels and a big passion for Hornby Dublo (3 rail)
It's not to my taste, although a light dusting may well improve some models. I've yet to see heavy weathering done convincingly on a steam loco, although oddly that's not the case with diesels.
I must admit I tend to favour weathered finished stock, but comments from the other half like "Why are you making it dirty" or "is that not ruining you train"
