  1. Hi there, I've seen a few photos of consists which appear to include JGAs in what looks like a debranded version of the Buxton Lime Industries livery produced by Farish. Is there anyone who knows the workings that could confirm whether or not this was the case as it'd make for an interesting combination alongside the HOAs. Cheers John
  2. Hi Arran, My credit card has taken a battering recently thanks to RevolutioN so I'm glad I can keep it in my wallet at least until after Christmas John
  3. Gents, Are numbers being produced to match specific orders as with other RevolutioN models and, if so, is there a closing date? Regards John
  4. Hi Ben, The maps and sample consists are really useful when considering expressions of interest so looking forward to seeing them. I wonder did you see an uplift in expressions of interest for the TEAs once you'd posted the maps and consists? Regards John
  5. Hi guys, I've placed my orders but wondered whether the current prices are "early bird" in the same way as previously announced models or if the payment plan (great idea by the way) is replacing it? Regards John
  6. The only problem with having two crowd funded models of the same prototype proposed is there's a risk neither will proceed. That'd be a real shame as these are definitely on my list. I'm just trying to work out how many I can justify being dragged round a diesel layout... Which manufacturer you go for is personal choice of course but I know where vote will be going. I really like the approach Revolution have taken on both the Pendo and TEA where - even though in reality I've only expressed an interest and stumped up some cash - I've really felt like part of the projects. The content and regularity of updates has been a key factor for me - for example even though the Pendo is slightly behind schedule I know exactly why and that its absolutely for the right reasons. Mike and Ben delivering top quality TEAs and the involvement of Rapido (who've arguably produced the best British outline modern era rtr powered model I've never bought in the APT-E) are the clinchers for me. Ps Sara as with any crowd funded project you're not committed to purchasing until there's been enough interest expressed and you've paid a deposit. Regards John
  7. Thanks Ben, Mike and Jason for delivering such a great product in such relatively short space of time. Mine are yet to arrive, but having seen the production models you had flown over for TINGs I can't wait. You've certainly raised the bar for British N Gauge and deserve a great deal of credit for the hard work you've put in to make the dream a reality. The transparency you've provided in terms of keeping supporters fully up to speed with progress has been really refreshing too. Next for the Pendo (much wants more...) Regards John
  8. Hi Ben, Thanks that's useful. 2 Pendolinos, 20 TEAs & now a 321. You guys are going to have to stop this game - that dent in my wallet is fast becoming a crater... Regards John
  9. Hi guys, Sorry if I've missed it earlier in the chain as I couldn't see it on the revolution site, but are you intending to incorporate NEM coupler pockets on this model? I'm looking for an excuse to buy a LM version to run on a diesel only layout and I've seen photos of a couple of units being dragged, presumably to works for overhaul. Regards John
  10. Hi there, Possibly not the forum but thought I'd put my hand up on another wagon to consider for Revolution Trains. There's a distinct lack of car carriers in "n". In the meantime can't wait for the TEAs.
  11. Guys, Even at the time I placed my order I couldn't in my wildest dreams have thought so much detail would be incorporated into the model. I know it's still at the CAD stage but it's looking fantastic so far. It looks like setting a new standard for the UK modern n gauge scene and it should really make the big boys sit up and look / listen. Also bodes well for the TEAs. Better make the 92 available to "drag" to - well here's hoping ;-) I know many have already said so, but thanks again for making this happen. John
  12. Hi, I genuinely agree with those aggrieved at being asked to pay high prices through eBay - it's very annoying and having missed out on the motorised Dapol Royal 67 I have first hand experience of it. However, I do have to point out as others have within this thread that unless we get the project across the line by the end of the Kickstarter period then nobody will be buying or selling one at any price and that'd be a real real shame. John
  13. Hi All, Ben mentioned earlier about the possibility of investing in a set which could then sell on. If you want to support this project then do think seriously about buying to sell. I suspect others may decide they want one after the Kickstarter has ended so you're likely to at least get your money back if not more - particularly if the set you buy isn't produced again (another good reason to produce a small number in a unique livery if possible). There is evidence to support this with limited runs like the Dapol 67s (Royal, W&S, etc) and, dare I say it the ATM WIA Arbel sets, now selling on eBay for much inflated prices - appreciating of course that we're talking a higher initial cost here. The connection to OHLE has to be considered, but if you've seen the excellent new Farish DRS 57/3 then a drag certainly opens the door to other modern image layouts. Plus it'll be a must for anyone who decides to model WCML after the event... I've pledged for a couple of sets already and don't need a third, but I'd push the boat out if it means helping the project get over the line. I'd urge everyone to do so if it's within their means if and when the time comes. John
  14. Hi Ben & Mike, I know Virgin have been very supportive so just a thought - would they be prepared to put some flyers in the shops of the real Pendalinos. I'm sure there will be at least some people not interested in modelling that would want a scaled down version. Appreciate its a much higher price but I remember when I used to catch the W&S train from Telford, the guys in the shop telling me how many of their customers with no other interest in model railways were buying up their Dapol special edition 67s. Nothing ventured nothing gained and all that... Look forward to catching up at Warley tomorrow - are the Virgin goodies available to those that have already pledged ;-) John
  15. Hi Ben, Yes great news that they've been released and looks like a top notch kit. Glad the hard work has paid off as I know you've put a lot of effort into the project. Would you be able to confirm the overall length of a wagon please? A rake of 10 would look good - space permitting... Agree that the price, particularly for multiple purchases, appears great value for money. Regards John
  16. Hi Ben, Just wondered if you have an update on progress with the timber carrier? Would be great to get a rake of these on the layout ahead of Dapol's Colas 56 being released. Regards John
