Layouts looking superb Rob! Are the new buildings to the right of the bridge DPM kits?
All the best,
Lloyd
-
Those are some real beasts there Steve! THe layouts looking good with a few workers dotted around now to help populate it.
All the best,
Lloyd
P.S: Lucky you going to hellfest (I'd rather like to see Motorhead live)!
-
Thats looking brilliant now Rob! Its great to see it all coming together now and really start to have some character. The warehouse looks even better with some signage now.
All the best,
Lloyd

Milo, walking outside and taking photos of real grass is cheating...Seriously though thats some really impressive work you've done to make that look so realistic!
All the best,

I haven't checked in on Gainford Spa for quite a while and its certainly progressed since I last looked! To echo other comments, the backscene really blends in and helps add more depth to the whole layout. Keep up your brilliant work!

Wow that looks brilliant Milo! I especially love the last two photos because they just look so atmospheric and real. Keep the photos coming!

The building really looks the part now Rob. Does the building have a company name at all you could possibly add to the right hand stairwell top or water tower like the one HERE (scroll down to the fifth photo or so).
All the best,
Lloyd

That colour looks fine to my eye Rob and it should all blend well once its toned down. Thanks for the explanation of the water tanks, I thought it was for use in case of a fire outbreak in the building!
All the best,
Lloyd

The supply building looks right at home there Rob. Why is there a water tower on top of the building though? Is it to feed plumbing or machinery in the building?
Keep up your great work and all the best,
Lloyd

It's that slippery slope again, N then H0, now there's 0 - won't be long before he has that bargain G scaler sitting on a shelf somewhere.
Hold on a mo...the words G scale and bargain can be used in the same sentence?!
-
Hmmmm SP bloody noses...NICE! That SD45 certainly looks the part of an elderly switcher but I'm surprised its engine idling hasn't interrupted those two chaps conversation at the co-op.
All the best,
Lloyd
-
More N scale Dan? I'm surprised you have any more space left in your house!!
All the best,
Lloyd
-
That certainly looks the part Dan and it oozes a run down kind of atmosphere. Keep us updated as you progress on the layout.
All the best,
Lloyd

Those buildings look truly outstanding and realistic! Keep up the brilliant work.

08904 remains active at Eastleigh - pictured shunting loaded Network Rail JNA bogie ballast wagons on 10th April 2015.
4630,
I've not seen the 08 around Eastleigh in ages! I always seem to miss it but its nice to see it still going.
All the best,

That blue and yellow thing needs a repaint. Time for some lovely. Orange and green.
Blasphemy! You don't just simply repaint yellowbonnets ...Unless your renewing the old paint

You've been to Wolverhampton, then....
For figures, the usual sort of 'workmen in overalls' types by the likes of Preiser would be fine. Work dress can often cross 'trades', so a factory engineer might wear overalls like a car mechanic, so no need to search too specifically for 'types' of workers. Don't forget too that Denim started off as a cloth for working clothes - "bibs & braces" overalls and suchlike. How jeans got to become expensive fashion items.. who knows!!
Wolverhampton wonderful compared to the backstreets around Southampton high street on a Friday night!
Dan, the layouts certainly got that run down, dodgy area. Shame its not a modern era layout or you could have had a few blokes in hoodies milling about suspiciously. In regard to adding tipped garbage have you thought of these:
http://scalescenes.com/products/T004-Furniture-and-Lineside-Junk
The sofas (couch to the guys over the pond) and tables etc would suit the area with enough vegetation around them. I'm not related to scalescenes just thought the furniture would suit.
All the best,
Lloyd
EDIT: Forgot to put the usual stuff about not being related to companies.

If you'd like I can upload the few photos I took of the layout?
