  1. Hi Grimley. 200 of the lights. God that's going to be fiddly to do. Your going to need some thin wire to hang them on. Love that photo of the 56, 60. Won't be long before boxenby is looking as good once the floor is in. Are u planning to add the yellow lines and all to the flooring.
  2. Off topic but derby doing well this year. I missed Toton in the best era which is a shame . Would have loved to have seen 58s everywhere.
  3. I think I speak for everyone that we are as well. Are u going to install it and weather in situ or make it removable. Thanks for the link as well.bit of bed time reading
  4. Hi Grimley. Them 60s are amazing. Is there a thread for it on this layout ?
  5. Nice one Pitbull. shed side is a lot less windy i hope than sitting on Toton Bank in guessing. Sorry grimley back to topic..... Apologies in advance for more boring photos of inspection pits and inspection pit lights..... No chance grimley, any photo of a 60 is always worth posting. looking down the pit is a fantastic view. you can really see the detail and what you are trying to achieve. nice work
  6. Was pit bull on a rail tour or does he work at Toton.
  7. Hi ya Grimley. Happy New Year to you and all that follow you. Just catching up on the last few days posts. 2 more 58s. either you have been really good or someone really doesnt enjoy your company and wants you out the way. either way what a bonus. Thank you for posting the darken photos. they are looking great. the inspection pits are taking their time but the effort you are putting in is so worth it. Keep it up and happy 2015
  8. Merry Christmas one and all. Looking forward to 2015 updates and boxenby really come to life.
  9. Never been a fan of 20 but your ones look great. U able to do a photo in the dark or will it not show up enough
  10. Grimley is no ordinary modeler. If it can be done it will be which makes these thread so much fun and inspiring. Looking good Grimley. Good to see 014 on shed.
  11. Great last two pics Grimley. I think ive decided I like the 58s more but it's a tough choice. The platforms came up well in the end didnt they. I hope your happy anyway. Flooringing will make the effect amazing
  12. Got to love 001. Actually any 60. In a way I hate going to toton now seeing them rotting. Cant wait to see the flooring.
  13. Love that side view. There is a pic of 036 and your 56 on an earlier post on 29th oct, 7th pic down that is square on the side. I love the way that looks. Captures what it must look like inside. Must admit if I was will , when ur out id be filling the pits with my 66 and 60 just to have a more modern feel. All safely put back after of course
  14. Nothing wrong with an EWS 60 grim. If you look back over the years posts its been great to read how much progress you have made. Keep going fella
  15. I think ian is spot on. You wont get the overall look until its all done. Think they look fantastic myself.
  16. I recently took some photos of the trackside boxes and how they have weathered at milton keynes station so your not alone !!
  17. Hello . is that 60014 a Hornby model ? ive wanted one for a while but only seem to see the EWS ones these days. I have an old Lima version but nothing like that quality. The pits are coming along well and although you have said you have suffered a bit of damage, for the scale of the model you have done really well not to have had more mishaps, unless i have missed something. ( its hard to remember all of what i have read) I would suggest maybe using the first ever loco you purchased as the first one to run, I say that as technically its waited the longest, or maybe even you favorite engine from your younger days? just a thought.
  18. Nothing like a class 60 to finish a photo off. Pits look great. Well worth the time your putting in
  19. Excellent Grimley. The platforms are looking really good now. you get an idea of how long they are to. Not really seen much of Toton internally, Id there room for two / 3 per platform? Going back to the evergreen card, I found ebay useful, some people, if they have the stock will do multiple buys for cheaper so might be a idea. I did pinch your idea from way back re the card and go a sheet myself to see whats its like and i think the finish on boxenby is going to look amazing.
  20. Worth all the painstaking work grim. Looks great. Love that 56 to
  21. Grimley.was just thinking will you attempt to link boxenby and new southwich in the future.
  22. Good to hear from you grimley. I trust you had a good time away. As the winter appears to be looming I do hope the model room has good heating. Cant wait for the next episode
  23. Good to see the shed made it in piece. Hopefully the ` play room` is big enough. Will it be housing southwark to ? Hope the unpacking goes well. Home stretch now so to speak.
  24. Excellent Grimley. I moved last week as well . Tough in the heat. 30 odd degs. And furst night was the awful storms. Your lucky you have a home for boxenby. Be good to see it in its final resting place. Hope all goes well and enjoy the unpacking
