  1. Elsewhere the wind is manageable. I use Windex personally.
  2. You're not concerned about grown men dresses in garish clothing running around with big wooden sticks and waving hankies whilst rattling the bells on their ankles? It makes me nervous. Was the Lancia Beta just a test version like Windows Beta? Maybe thats where you went wrong. Is North Brit on another cruise? He seems to have been absent for ages. Hope Wales is still there in all this wind. Is Tonypandy any relation to Andy?
  3. Excellent post on Little Muddle on how to get your 'favourites' easy to find.
  4. Excellently put my dear Taff Manchoo. Bagpipes or Morris? The choice is yours.
  5. Re the octopus and possible under the influence of summat driving, 2 comments posted by others were that the cephala plods were kraken down on it. Bluish sky here in sunny Teignmouth today although water is in the air presently.
  6. Apparently he squidded off the road
  7. Anybody travelling on the A381 in Devon this week please be aware of octopus on the road. A driver allegedly swerved to avoid one and ended up upside down in a ditch. Police searched for the errant octopus but found no trace.
  8. Eh ecky thump as they say in some places a bluebird with a flexi lexi. Welcome aboard me ole mucka. We tolerate anything here apart from deep fried haggis and cat stranglers
  9. Dense sea mist over the river again today. Shaldon has vanished once more and we await the sun to return to sunny Teignmouth. Monday saw a large part of Dawlish closed of all day because of a gas leak. Shops were closed and homes evacuated. By the end of trading it was fixed. Some wag suggested it would have improved Dawlish if it had exploded. No black swans were hurt.
  10. As an aside, a few minutes after leaving St Pancras there are some gasometers on the right. The metal construction has been retained and some nice apartments have been constructed within the footprint.
  11. Its perfectly possible Rick. At St Pancreas once you have entered the ticket turnstile your ticket is not asked for again. In the concourse you all sit together. When a train is announced and the unmanned barriers opened anyone on that concourse can go up on the platform. At Waterloo we had to show tickets as we went from the concourse but this was pretty much cursory.
  12. Once through security at Eurostar there is nothing to stop you boarding a different train to the one that your ticket is for. The time before last that we travelled there were passengers waiting for 3 trains. No further ticket check is held. The on-board staff walk through doing a head count. Perhaps a head count has to match with a boarding list.
  13. You can't do that here. We's just common & garden people. In fact some of us is more common than others. We only uses words wot we know. You ask that Taffy Choo fella. He'll tell youse.
  14. Colossal words here tonight. Astigmatic, meandering, missives & myopic, someone has been given a dictionary
  15. Begin with an s. D was bracketed. Communications hard at present. Takes all day to find anything.
  16. reformation is good, just not for abbeys (Choo, are you "following" this thread?)
  17. Twice Mum has had similar problems and eventually both occasions were resolved by simply unplugging all 3 phones from the phone jack and the power and plugging them all back in.
