  1. Hi Nick Thanks for the reply. Would sure like to see that technique in action. I watched a good Youtube video on creating graffiti. It involved making masks of the graffiti in various layers so that the different colours and different parts of the design shapes fitted together properly. It looked amazing and I would like to try that. But I expect that in the period I would mode,l the only graffiti would have been 'wot no ......?' and none of the amazing graffiti you can see these days. Your weathering is definitely an inspiration. I was lost a bit with the wagon types though. But the production line for the rakes was interesting to see. Cheers Lightengine
  2. Hi When you say a white spirit wash down, how exactly do you perform that?
  3. Looked on Google maps all around Barastre and can't even find the river, could the photo be captioned wrong? Great bit of film Judging by the barge it could be the canal du nord that runs close by or more likely the canal de la somme which runs the other side of barastre. In the film you could see an intact bridge which might indicate that the area had not been subject to german attack.
  4. Reading this today made me get out my loco and have a look at it. The body muxt have had a repaint as mine is a very lightgreen. The chassis has been replaced and is a Triang X392. Having read the post and comments I am now wondering whether to have a go at detailing it or just to keep the chassis for another project. Any suggestions are welcome. Interesting to see how you are getting on Stephen.
