I can commiserate with you there Purley. We married at Easter, looking back it was a bit daft travelwise.
A bit grey here in sunny Teignmouth today but presently dry and not too cold.
Had a communique from Tassie Tex. Will leave it for him to post anything further.

There is one around, busking. A cat strangler was performing (if thats the correct word) on the streets of Teignmouth a few weeks ago. Many found it a hideous noise to have outside their shops for several hours.Thank you Mal
I belong to several Facebook groups one of which is for “anything” pertaining to the town in question.
In the past few days a post has appeared seeking the services of “a piper and a Scot willing to address a haggis”. Bit of a long shot in the far south-west of Cornwall but you never know. Burns Night suppers seem to be no longer confined to Scotland or the Scots.

Maybe someone on here has the know how to join the scars together and we can make a layout plan.Lets get something right! I'm a WASS not a Wuss although whilst searching family history I have found a couple of the latter in our family tree but that would be because of very bad handwriting.
As to scars, well I had this photo on here in the past and since then I have had a second parallel one but I'm not showing it here.

Did you keep a poker face?We went to the cinema yesterday. It's a place where they show films on a big screeny thing.....
The kids saw "Ralph Breaks The Internet" while we watched "Mary Queen Of Scots".
SPOILER ALERT:
It doesn't go well in the end.

Haha or peculiar?

On Eurostar homeward bound after a good Christmas and NY. Suitcases loaded with beer, wine, chocolate, saucisson and various other food items. Also packed are some antiques of my outlaws, a saucisson slicer and a few other "essential" purchases like plates, magazines and sweets.
Worst experience was a "pine" flavoured boiled sweet. I have never tasted a urinal refreshing disc but I think this sweet must be a very close match.

Happy New Year everyone. Mild here in deepest Belgium. Sadly the Delirium Cafe is shut today but I am sat here with a Leffe Ruby whilst tapping away on the tablet. Leffe Radeuse is still my favourite though. Saturday we tried 3 Trappist beers, Triple Karmaleit, Rochefort 10 and another. Very nice, hic.

Drone sightings at Gatport Airwick cause chaos.
Surely armed police are justified in some live target practice?

Afternoon all. A fine day if a little fresh to start. And the last full week before a certain festival.
“Christmas jumper” took on a new meaning this morning when (yet another) person-versus-train incident occurred. This was at Berrylands which resulted in all our four main lines being closed between around 08.30 and 10.45. Many Monday mornings were heavily delayed. I learned that the auto-announcing system can cope with such things as “has been delayed by two hours and fifty-seven minutes” which is nothing if not trivial in the bigger picture of things.
We have also been required to sign a notice forbidding the wearing of any seasonal attire or embellishment which is red, yellow or green in colour and / or contains any reflective material or illumination. Safety is one thing. This doesn’t leave us too many options. Although one of my colleagues was seen wearing a white-fur lined black Santa hat!
Back home for a mugga and snooze before what could be a busy evening. I may pop in before bed if I find time.
Kind thoughts and best wishes to all.
Teignmouth station was repainted in red, green and cream 4 years ago including all the canopy stanchions. Red & green everywhere but I dont suppose that was considered.

Many moons ago we had a discussion on here about scaffolding and if they leave it erected at places as a storage facility. I have just looked back in the forum,it was the end of May.
My neighbour whose roof conversion was practically completed THEN is just having the scaffolding removed today.
False alarm it wasn't removed today.
