An update! On the Sentinel! What is this! Well, here it is. I've done all of the panelling (which was tedious...) and I've put the funnel on. This has come off a Walsworth Models J52 kit, and was very kindly given to me by John of said company for free - along with a whole bucket load of bits, which I'm sure I'll find very useful! This was cut down in height and then the lip reduced so that it looked vaguely like a sentinel chimney. It was then super glued into the well created for it at the 'motor' end of the unit.

I just found these on my photobucket account (forgotten about, somehow..)
Didcot, June 11 2011:
Their replica 'Firefly' broad gauge loco was in steam that day....
... as was the steam railmotor....
.... oh, and Tornado had come to visit. A bit of a red-letter day, riding behind in the course of maybe an hour the three then-newest steam locos in the country.
Of course, there were some other beauties lazing around in the summer sunshine:
I think I must have been standing right next to you when took that third picture, as that man on the right is doing almost the same pose in my picture!

I agree with the above comment, the atlantics looked amazing - the weathering was so beautiful.

Oh I'm debating it!I wonder how many BR people will be changing their orders.
Agree it could make model of the year if it is out in time.

Funny you should say that but the new Hornby Teak coaches are on special offer for Warley - Buy one get one free (=£25 a coach)
The BR numbered, LNER liveried ones? And will there be brake coaches?
-
But he is correct, no?
-
They've already said they're going to include that though
-
Y'know, the list of stalls that I can't miss at Warley is getting longer...
-
I know what it is too... (I think...)
-
Looks great! I look forward to seeing it in the flesh!
-
Wouldn't it be nice if they produced something small eastern and obscure next... An E4 would do it!
-
I can't possibly use one of those But the ideas for modification are endless!
-
Um, it's now signed Taff... TVR loco anyone?

Ah, no there'll be a picture somewhere of a lamp just like that sitting in exactly that position as a WD arrived from the north in the 50's

This looks really interesting - mostly as I plan to do this in the future!

At the very least it gives us BR modellers who, let's say 'stretch' the lives of certain classes, own one in an authentic livery which it actually carried without having to respray it ourselves
-
I really hope they explain these riddles
-
Might just be big planks of wood?

-
Was it No.62822 that ended up at Grantham?

After all this excitement about Radials and how this is almost certainly one of them, it would make me laugh if this turns out to be something completely different!

Ahh, the joy of multi-lingual signs...

I've found some more pictures (external hard drives hide many things...)
As I can't add pictures to posts, I'll list what they are here:
