  1. I won’t don’t worry! Thanks Mark that’s very kind. Next time there is a show on (hopefully not too far away now!) happy to bring 37114 for you to have a look at. The Penbits bogies are great, a real pleasure to put together. The detailing is definitely worth it as well, it takes the Bachmann 37 from a good model to an excellent model IMO once the windscreens, roof grille and underframe has been sorted. For a modeller of your talent you won’t have any issues at all. There was an excellent article in MRJ from James Wells that’s been very inspirational on 37 detailing which I’ve been following. Apologies for the hijack! Kind regards, Will
  2. Looking good Mark! The last photo look like Fryers Lane TMD! Really enjoying your progress, I think P4 is calling me as well. Keep up the good work. Kind regards, Will
  3. Very nice work Will. The layout is looking superb! Kind regards, Will
  4. Superb work Jack - really nicely done with the lighting functions on the shed! Very inspirational indeed. Keep up the good work! Will
  5. Very nice Jerry! Awesome work sir. Love the 90s in situ on the container terminal! Are you doing the NRN pod for the roof of 37057? Kind regards, Will
  6. Hi all, The latest project I’ve been working on for a few weeks is 08561, one for the potential P4 Temple Mills project I’m mulling over currently. Quite an interesting loco I think with the weird EWS panel, what appears to be taped on double arrows, and the small NRN pod on the roof. A quick shot of the prototype embedded from Flickr: Following the arrival of some superb etches from @Pete Harvey, I’ve spent the weekend and most of yesterday assembling the new end grille, as well as the steps. I think these items really lift the model. Looking at photos of 08s, the grilles are never uniform, which the etch really replicates (with a bit of ham fisted assembly thrown in for good measure!). The steps add a lovely bit of finesse over the originals, which were epoxied onto the model and are really solid once the adjoining bar is added. The next steps are as follows: - Add handrails all over the model - Finish filling unnecessary holes - Convert to P4 - Replace the rods with Brassmasters versions - Add tanks under the grille end to replace the cut out nem pockets. If anyone has any suggestions on what to use I’d be very appreciative! Onto photos in the natural light of the trusty garden step: Finally a quick comparison with the standard Hornby item: Well worth the effort I think. Hope everyone is safe and well! Thanks for the continued support on my projects. Kind regards, Will
  7. Loving the videos Peter - subscribed to your YouTube as well. The layout is absolutely superb and you’ve got some really nice stock Hope you’re well? Will
  8. Awesome work Jerry, looks much better! I took so many goes at getting the area right, it was an absolute pain. Apologies about the valances, I didn’t realise they were weathered, should’ve looked at the bogies! Glad it helped, always happy to help a fellow modeller! Will
  9. Superb work Jerry; very nice! The paint finish on the two 024s is cracking. Have you used the Phoenix GNER? Since doing mine I did a lot of research on 024, could be wrong but didn’t it have dark blue valances and blue rain strips below the cab windows? Not sure what condition you’re doing her in but just thought I’d post one of the photos from Flickr I’d been working from. Keep up the great work! Will
  10. That is absolutely stunning - lovely work John! Kind regards, Will
  11. Loadhaul 37698 emerges from the bridge at Motts Lane with the new tree from @richscylla which is absolutely stunning! It adds a great deal of interest to the foreground of the layout, but needs bedding in next. A big thanks to Richard for this! Kind regards, Will
  12. That looks superb Rich! Hered a photo of the modified Dingham on a EFE CargoWagon: .45 nickel silver wire soldered over the top of the loop. All credit must go to @Kylestrome for the superb explanation on his workbench here; Kind regards, Will
  13. On the topic of 37s a few more clips of 37698 mixed in with a few of my shed: Been working on a few wagons this weekend after a delivery from Phil at Stenson models, first up the S Kits KWA on sprung Y25s: This is awaiting the final few white metal parts. I’ve also converted the first VGA using the new W Irons and cast axle boxes from Stenson as well. This kit is superb and I can’t wait to do some more sprung air braked stock using them! Just need to take some inspiration from @James Makin and get it weathered when the weather improves. The final bit of work I’ve done this weekend is this eastern region hut from Intentio ( @BrushType4). A great little kit and fits in perfectly with the region. 37698 leaving Motts Lane sidings past the new hut: Hope everyone is keeping well and managing to get some modelling done! Kind regards, Will
  14. Thanks Rich - do you have any photos of yours? Not sure - I think they’ll be a custom job. I’ll let you know what I end up sorting. A quick few photos of two projects I’ve been working on since Friday; the first of two KWAs and the first VGA EM conversion using Phil at Stenson models’ new W irons/cast axle boxes. I must say these are awesome and I can’t wait to do a few more VGAs/Bachmann air braked wagons. This VGA needs air pipes adding, as well as a new data panel for a VKA. The KWA needs the final details adding then it’ll be ready for painting. KWA fitted with Stenson models New screw links: An overall shot of the KWA on the sprung Y25s and fitted with a customised Dingham the other end (inspired by @Kylestrome) VGA conversion using Stenson models W irons and cast axle boxes: A few clips of them in action can be found here: Kind regards, Will
  15. Superb work Will - the flood lights look superb! Kind regards, Will
  16. Been progressing various projects over the last few weeks. Mainly I’ve been working on the first of two S Kits KWAs for a small engineers rake. Following an order which arrived yesterday from Phil from Stenson models, I assembled the sprung Y25s yesterday evening. I cleaned up the remaining white metal castings today as there was loads of flash over the holes on the Y25s and the holes on the equipment on the deck. A shot of the wagon in the yard at Motts Lane: Need to get the bogies onto the main deck of the wagon, add couplings (Dingham one end, screw link the other, and then add the finer strap/ratchet details and it’ll be ready for painting. Thanks for looking! Kind regards, Will
  17. Superb work that Simon! Very nice. Are you going to do an Orange one to go with it? Kind regards, Will
  18. Really nice work David! I must say the quality of your detailing on the wagons is staggering. A quick question if I may, have you modified the latch on top of the hook on the Dingham on the right of the last photo? If so would you be able to describe what you’ve done please? It looks much nicer than the out of the pack version! Thanks in advance, keep up the superb work! Will
  19. Thanks very much “other” Will! It’s P4’ed currently most likely for a future project but it’s superb in LL. Hopefully should have some more progress on the scenery soon. Thanks Will. It’s taken some fettling and I haven’t wired in the frogs yet but it works quite nicely so far! I think a class 40 may struggle over the double slip! It does indeed have all wheel pick up, but it needs the pick ups adjusting and a stay alive fitting. Could also do with having a mass wheel cleaning session... Kind regards, Will
  20. Thanks Rob - I saw that and two of the BR Blue 08 inside the shed but that’s about it as you say. Trying to find details on the depot as a whole is proving challenging. I’ve got the track plan into Templot from Google Earth but want some proper plans on the depot before committing to it. The challenge continues! Kind regards, Will
  21. Just wanted to post up a quick video of the freshly fitted Dingham auto uncouplers on my EFE CargoWagon and Hattons 66: Following a great workbench article by @Kylestrome and following @Jack374 I’ve modified the Dinghams to a larger loop of .45 nickel silver wire. This has improved the couplings no end and I’m really pleased with the outcome. Just need to do everything else now! Kind regards, Will
  22. Bit of a long shot but I don’t suppose you managed to collate any information on the EWS depot at Temple Mills? If not is there any places you’d recommend going for more information? There’s hardly any photos let alone information available on the shed etc which would be really helpful given I’m planning a P4 layout based on the site. Thanks in advance, any help would be much appreciated. Will
  23. Tractors at Motts Lane this evening. 425 has a set of P4 ultrascales thanks to @Jack374 Hopefully some more progress on the layout soon. kind regards, Will
  24. Hi all, Been mulling over a plan to move to do some P4 modelling this year, potentially a plan based on the EWS depot that used to be at Temple Mills. There’s limited photos on Flickr, does anyone have any further photos or information that could be of use please? Shots of the inside of the depot would be really helpful! I’ve managed to Templot the plan but struggling for good photos of the shed and inside. Link to my uncle's photo album for reference: https://flickr.com/photos/7421008@N08/sets/72157622836880003 Thanks in advance for any assistance, Will
  25. Awesome work Guy - looking forward to seeing this develop! Kind regards, Will
