Hello guys....I have basically settled on the plan here....and now considering where the main feeds, isolating breaks and sections need to be situated....I am looking through various publications etc, but would appreciate and seek any advice as to where you guys would place these on the plan.....a bit of an electrical 'plonker'...I will get there but any tips would be great!

  11. Hello Ian...Thanks for the message.....I was only 5 at the time (actually was it was my 5th Birthday in late May on the day of travel, that day is burnt into my memories as it was a turning point in my life) when we left Paddington after docking that morning in Tilbury after a five week sailing on the P & O Himalaya, having been met by family they purchased tickets for a trip on the way back down to Birmingham....sorry for my ignornace on the subject but which Pullman would have operated the service we would have travelled on....I recall that huge blue train standing in Paddington taking us northward, perhaps my memories of that trip have been clouded over time and my knowledge of operational traction is not that great for sure....were some of the Midland Pullman's transferred over to Western Region after a stint on the St. Pancras to Manchester run? Cheers for the information...Kind regards Bob

  17. This is a project that has been long overdue...after a gap of some 40 years...attempting to create a early 60's terminus station somewhere in the Englsih Midlands, I don't quite know where..but it'll probably involve copious quantities of 'smoke and grime'? I remain at the planning stage at the moment but I do have a track plan of the station, it's throat layout and intended adjacent good yard....as I am new to writing blogs on progress of the layout, is this the correct section within the rmweb site to place updates, ask for advice and receive comments? Thanks Bob M
