Well the end of november saw Rebeca making a visit to the home of penna lane so she could take some more pictures of the layout for the railway modeller magazine, iam pleased to say that the pictures she took look amazing in the magazine and iam really happy with how Railway Modeller mag have put the article together, the pictures are just amazing and i am left feeling really proud of what has been achieved on the layout. please do go out and get your copy of Mays Railway Modeller magazine its in shops now and let me know what you think. in the mean time please take a look at a few pictures of the layout to get a taste of it.

Venue :-Aycliffe Youth Centre near Tescos. DLPG Model Railway Show May 9th/10th. Venue :-Spennymoor Town Hall. Shildon Model Railway Club October 10th/11th. Venue :- Locomotion NRM Shildon, Free Parking, Free entry, Doors open at 10 both days, Steam train ride available(small charge). RailEx NE 2015. December 12th/13th Venue :- Quorum Business Park, Benton Lane, Newcastle, NE12 8FB. Glenrothes model railway show was amazing. The whole experience is one to remember. It was Penna Lanes first outing away from our home base in the north east of england and we had a great weekend, Penna Lane ran well as we hoped it would with no problems at all. The visit to Glenrothes model railway exhibition was Michael Lavericks first time at a show away from home and he thoroughly enjoyed the experience, he even had his first taste of Haggis. We have proved to ourselves that Penna Lane can stand up with the rest of the exhibitors layouts and we hope that this will lead to us having more shows away from the north east. Everyone up in Glenrothes was brilliant and we would like to thank them for the experience. We look forward to next time :-)

Hello everyone, for many months now people have been saying that i should write a blog on RMWEB about my layout Penna Lane TMD so here goes. Penna Lane TMD was conceived during 2009 while i was under going treatment for kidney failure, i wanted to be able to run my locos at home when i was not able to get out to my local club to run my locos on the clubs layout Shildon which is in the Locomotion NRM museum at Shildon. once i had convinced my partner that it was a good idea boards were obtained and work started on track planning then laying it all, ill not go in to much detail as you will all know how this is done any way. Once i was happy with how the track looked that was it, the layout spent nearly 6 months with just track laid and wired in and not a lot else happening other than playing trains, until i was invited to take the layout to its first show at the Civic hall in shildon for the final model railway show to be held by the shildon model railway club at that venue, so work had to start again on the layout and this has taken many months to do and is still not totally complete yet but we ended up at shildon show which was very good for our first show, things then started to pick up pace with more invites to other shows and as you can see in the picture we have been to shows at the NRM Locomotion Shildon and shall be back there again this March for the Model motion event 15th/16th March 2014.
