  1. I've finally managed to start laying tracks. I hate saying it, but I hope for the weather to be awfully bad tomorrow, so I can continue the quest downstairs. I've never laid out flextrack before... .
  2. Lovely layout! It captures the flair of the Highlands very well! It's good to see that it doesn't take a lot of space to create something credible with a feeling of depth to it. Compliments from another Highland modeller!
  3. I guess you're both right. The chimney is made from a simple brush, cut on both sides to give it that distinct shape. Maybe I should chop a bit more off the tip ... . Thanks for the comments. *bow* Kosta
  4. Eenin' tykes! There's not much to show yet, but here's a sneak preview of my freelanced "Ko'ness and Manneill" (Ko'n&Man) layout in N gauge. I'm trying to catch the feel of a Scottish distillery with railway connection. I've heard it many times before, that working on a smaller layout reduces the risk of doing the same mistakes more than once? Well, since I've already made a lot of mistakes so far building the layout, I am happy to not have proceeded with a larger project (the West Highland Line from Corrour [Cruach snow shed] to Mallaig) so far. Here's the link to my blog http://koness.blogspot.com and here's some pics:
