  1. 13 you say, I'm not sure we can let you into Terriers Anonymous on such low numbers 🤣 (all the new tooling ones are good runners, regardless of who made them) and that doesn't include the ones that have been sacrificed for test building the Oak Hill Works kits! Gary
  2. Glad it has arrived safely, thank you for letting me know. Given yesterdays news I almost feel bad for the P Classes I have scarified for chassis donors, and yet another must go as I want one of the FYNR versions for myself as well, so no sticking one on another chassis for photos and then scrapping it. Gary
  3. Glad they arrived safely! I must get around to putting the lining and nameplate on my MW H, I got it, built it, and painted it before Hardy's stopped, so it's probably about time to get the transfers on Gary
  4. Thanks Pat, Always good to hear the kits have made it in tact. I'd love to see it built! I must get around to sticking some transfers on mine so that I can put some finished pictures on the website. Gary
  5. As good an excuse to order a loco kit as I have ever heard! Can't be long until my step-dad hits the same anniversary thinking about it! I haven't got one of them floating about to try under the kit, I used to, but no idea where it's gone. and just as I had finished James's order and got the printer cleaned up! Anyone would think people want me to work for my income 🤣 Gary
  6. I can have a word with Tom, drawings would probably go a long way to helping that effort, don't suppose you know where I could get some? I'm not going to say you could use an old tooling terrier chassis under it, but I'm also not going to say that it wouldn't fit with some degree of modification. Gary
  7. A feeling I am quite familiar with (I have now completed my task of owning as many terriers as the LBSC!) Yes, same size axles, gears, and crankpins. Nice and simple, I got a set of wheels from Peters Spares, took less than 5 minutes to have them fitted to the Terrier chassis. Gary
  8. I must get mine finished so that I can get some decent pictures on the website (kit now comes with the all over cab roof and a weatherboard for you to choose which you want) Gary
  9. and if Royal Mail are running as well as they have been recently, you'll have it before the end of the week! Hope you've got some donor chassis ready 😛 Gary
  10. Well I've got new kits coming for you all later this week, just waiting on a new, higher detailed printer to arrive! but in the meantime, I've got a sale on again! 10% off until the end of January! Can't let everyone have a sale and then expect my customers to pay full price 😜 Enjoy! Gary
  11. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you've had a good time and got lots of nice new railway things! I've got a couple of new bits coming out for you this week, including something that I'm sure will make @ChrisN very happy! A nice LBSC horsebox is on it's way to Oak Hill Works, along with a few other bits, including some new locos, I expect I'll have one of the printers going all day tomorrow to get things ready to release for you! Thanks for looking in, and for all the support so far! Gary
  12. Glad it arrived safely, Royal Mail are clearly doing their job well, I only handed it to them at lunch time yesterday! Gary
  13. New website up and running! With all 4 kits seen above plus more added to the kits we already had! https://www.oakhillworks.co.uk/ Feedback as always appreciated, typos by DM (Because while I know I wouldn't make a typo, my old teachers and the exam board disagree! 😛) Gary
  14. Just thought I'd pop by to tease some kits that will be popping up on the website shortly (Hopefully a new website at that! As I think I have my newer, nicer website feature complete now) Gary
  15. Thank you! Unfortunately it does mean no more of me in the shop, which until recently was not the plan, but sometimes an offer comes along that you can't refuse! Gary
  16. An update! Train Times has been sold! It's no longer mine (or the other owners) The new owner was not interested in this project, so instead I have kept the rights to this for myself, and the vans will now be produced under my Oak Hill Works brand, I have the CAD work for the second batch of samples now, and will be preparing these over Christmas, so expect an update with new samples early in the new year! Gary
  17. I feel like the answer is both, in the TV show the chassis was redesigned with a more modern motor, and DCC provision, including space for a speaker, but appeared to be designed to be a drop in replacement for the current chassis, though it has been nearly a year so I might be mis remembering some bits Gary
  18. You and me both 🤣 Day off work tomorrow, so I'll be adding more kits to the website! (Currently have 7 kits waiting for photos to be taken, some test building, and adding to the website!) Gary
  19. Glad you are happy with the wagons! Always nice to have feedback, even nicer if it's positive 😛 I hope so..... The H is one of @TurboSnail's designs, last time I spoke to him about it he was planning to update the CAD of each version with more details before sending them over to me. I don't know what the current status of that is though (Hopefully the ping will get us an answer) Gary
  20. There was a successful test print yesterday, on the website by the end of the week (along with a lot of other stuff) I expect Soon, hopefully, life is quite busy at the moment, but that will most likely be changing in the very near future so livestreams will being then. This one, you've got Terriers to play with, fitting the E4 gives you some variety I look forward to your order! I've been doing small amounts in the background for a while (Including Gary's wagon) but the "proper" launch was only a couple of weeks ago, lot's more kits to come soon! Gary
  21. The loco is massively over scale to fit over the chassis, given in the second picture it's about the size of a Jinty, I don't have a Hornby Jinty in my shop to compare with at the moment, but I do have a Dapol B4, and when compared to a Hornby 0-4-0 it's still tiny, so I guess the buffer height is an issue caused by how massive they made it. Gary
  22. I mean, they did show off the development of one in the last series of their TV program, with a reworking of the standard 0-4-0 chassis to be DCC ready, IIRC with a Next18 decoder. They even showed them going to the Bluebell Railway to measure Normandy. Gary
