Hi all, a few photos of my new layout I've been building over the last couple of months. It's N gauge, 4x2 baseboard, code 55 trackwork. I'm planning on going DCC with this one, other layouts I've built have all been DC so a learning curve with this one. Its going to be a fictional colliery based somewhere in South Wales, but loosely based on places like Maerdy Colliery & various other collieries in South Wales in the 70's & 80's era.

Hi all, about time I updated this thread with some new photos. A few detail shots around the layout. Porthkerry park Village at Quarry Junction Quarry Junction Goods Depot A view down the tracks over the viaduct

Thank you for the kind comments! The Quarry Junction half of the layout is fictional as east of the prototype Porthkerry viaduct each side of the line is mostly woodland. So I thought I should do my own thing on that half but make it look like it was somewhere in South Wales although no place in particular, just a mixture of things. Cheers, Stu

Hi all, about time for an update I think. Haven't touched the layout for well over a month or so until this weekend due to lack of time, most of the backscene wiring for lights & signals & detailing stuff I did a while back, most of it finished off now, just bits & pieces to do on the layout itself as time allows. Decided to have a running session the last couple of evenings & had a play around with the DLSR camera so I'll share a few photos for those that are interested.

I have been doing a few more scenic bits & pieces, also connecting up all the building, streetlamp & signalling wiring. Decided to take a break from all that & run a few trains. Here are a few short videos for those that are interested.... Cheers, Stu
