    Hmm' I'd missed that regarding the dome, good point! I've currently two of these on order, but I'm genuinely wondering if building a chassis and detailing the old airfix body I have upstairs, maybe a more viable option.

    Hmmm, those recess's still concern me, it doesn't help that a number of plates are wonky. Although I'm planning to renumber, I do notice the recess around the plates is visible too..... I see the smokebox lamp iron is missing, will these be present on the production models?

    Hello Hatton's Dave From a modelling perspective, how easy will it be to alter the front tool box position. I'm buying two 58XX (both the same donor model H1410l) but one of the prototypes I'll be doing has it's tool box further back in the middle of the splasher. Could the tool box be theoretically moved back with care by the modeller? Cheers

    After reading the haulage issues on in the 02 thread, I hope this is something Hattons will be addressing with their own design if mechanisms are shared between DJM parts.

    Hornby must be time travellers then, seen as they were at the CAD stage when the DJ Models King was announced. Looks very nice, top work Hornby.

    Looking at the CAD they look to be a separate fitting, so could possibly be carefully prized away and repositioned by the modeller if required.
