  1. Sounds interesting, pretty neat prototypes here http://www.railalbum.co.uk/diesel-electric-locomotives/br-class-20-1.htm Would love to do one and combine it with an article for the mag.
  2. For me the Dutch 2400 diesel is done, used and faded but not rotten ...
  3. Thosten works in O scale, I do not have any scale particulary, my products must suit any scale.
  4. Thorsten works 0 scale, the flowering materials will be cut finer to work in 00 and H0..
  5. Thorsten fooling around with a new flowering material
  6. Because the owner's gonna pick up his T1 this saturday I had a few things to finish. This machine has an incredible amount of details with I found should be brought forward. So I pinnated them all with a mixture of rain marks and African dust, Added more layers to the undercarriage and wheels, thin layers of flat black and old rust, a dark sludge wash, pinkish with the dust mix, black and brown pigments and a thin layer of acrylic earth. Around the smokestack and upper body the same mix of flat black and old rust followed by black pigment. All materials used from the Ammo box..
  7. Question asked, can you make tufts in more layers, colors and if possible with weeds? I think you can..
  8. Yes I do, work the pigment in with a brush and fix them with thinner. But it depends a bit on what I want, most of the times I use the airbrush with low pressure, 12PSI, but also a brush dipped in thinner works fine, the capilarity of the pigments do the rest..Completely happy with pigmentfixer..but most of the time it adhears well enough with just thinner.
  9. Jonas, I chipped it with brush and sponge with acrylics, followed bij a light spray of nato black followed by several pigment, wich I set with odorless thinner until I'm happy.. Fooling around with a couple of pigments, fuel stains and rust washes, all Ammo by Mig products.
  10. Two 1:87 machines on the bench, the Dutch diesel is mainly weathered with Ammo oil brushers, the large PRR T1 steam engine has only Ammo acrylics. Earth on the lower frame and washable dust on the upper parts. Still works in progress.
  11. Made a couple of touch ups, repairs in the past done by someone else out en new stuff in. some muddy slam.. dry and airbrushed ready for some layers more of washes and pigments. More green stuff and other thingies. Done on wednessday...
  12. Thanx ! Couple of iPhone quickies weathering track and other stuff..
  13. Some greenery again, scale 1 or 1:32 this time, lousy but fast iPhone pics.
  14. What do you do on normal lazy Sunday, well I model a bit normal but not today. A real life spray job had to be finished. After 17.00 there was a bit of time left and I worked on a Belgian NMBS diesel reeks 55 for an article in a Belgian magazine. Still a work in progress. In the time in-between I tried to make a cardboard structure look like a concrete building. Laid my hands on some old Mig Production washes and had to try them..
  15. Thanks guys ! Still working on the BNSF 6127, Start with a crappy iPhone picture on the Macbook, other shots are done with my normal equipment. Still a work in progress, I do like oil paints but the drying time, duh that takes a while...mostly these oil brushers used with some additional colors out of the tube. Airbrushed acrylics on the lower body and trucks..
  16. Thanks Jonas, quit easy it is, light layer of a beige tan called old wood ith a dirty brown wash..
  17. The second car for the OntraXS! lottery together with Bentink Modelspoor and Hobbytime who donated the cars..a dutch railroad NS LACS... Hope the new owner is happy with it.
  18. No Jonas not until now, maybe when I get bored with the larger scales and search for new challenges..
  19. Combined several products here Steve, on top a combination of oils and enamels, the muck on the lower frame is indeed airbrushed, use mainly a primer from Ammo (tracksprimer) for that, thinned 50/50 with thinner and sprayed on in several thin layers..
  20. If I did my homework good it carries wheats Mick, that's why I chose the beige/white brownish colors..
  21. Well for me this NME getreidewagen Tagnpps is ready, hopefully this one isn't done to much. As part of a price you can win I hope the new owner will be happy with it..
