  1.

I'd guess it's this one, although I can't see the number recorded anywhere:

Thanks BR (S) That looks like the one, the only one I can find myself that lists a number is 45030 which i've seen photos of at Oban in 1984 and Glasgow in 1981 so i'm guessing thats the one I saw myself. I really wish I kept better records back then!

  2. I'm going to get an inspection saloon but i'd prefer to convert it to one I saw in 1985, unfortunately the only photo I took wasn't that great at showing it in detail but I was wondering if anyone else could help in identifying which one this is? It dates to the 18th of July 1985 and the location is Glasgow Queen Street. Was anyone in the area around this period who could help or anyone have any records of which saloon was being used in the highlands as an observation coach at this time?

Yep thats the one :) And that's one of my photos in the first link :) I just think i went overboard with the white haha, i'm still pleased with the white window surrounds but not so much the other bits

I once painted an old Lima 37 as 064 but i have a Bachmann one on the workbench at the moment half painted to replace it

Cool pic of yours at Craghall

  4. Like a few others I think it may be obvious what mine is :)

    But besides 081 i have a few others like 011, 012, 027, 043, 108 & 114

All Scottish and all split headcode :)

I also have a soft spot for 064 but thats because I got to paint the real one at Tinsley while on a YTS course... it came out rather unique but i'm a bit embarrased by the results now!
