  1. Regarding the DVD, I filled out the 'competition' using the link provided on this thread last week and today I received a very nice e-mail from a lady at BRM providing me with the video link and a note to say my DVD was on its way.

That’s actually my experience after I contacted Warner’s to find out what was occurring.

  2. There’s been much hype over the upcoming Little Bytham 1938 DVD to be in the November BRM. Imagine my surprise, then, when I

purchased my copy from my local shop and found no DVD. Apparently, this was the issue when BRM decided not to include the DVD but that you would have to go on their website to get one sent. Sounds easy but you have to open an account, or in my case re-activate an account that I had forgotten about, and then take part in a competition in order to get your copy sent. Let’s hope something arrives in the post. This has done nothing to endear me to BRM.

  3. Hi

In 1959 some 40 Maunsell carriages were converted into 20 push-and-pull sets. This involved 20 dia 2403 BCK and 20 dia 2005/2007 SO, and this has been produced by Hornby in the 2403/2005 form. Two questions,

    1) Has anyone attempted to backdate the BCK to as built condition, and

    2) Does Hornby have any plans to produce this version?

I know the first page shows what can be done with Bill Bedford overlays.

    Many thanks.

  4. One of my modelling friends can be very dismissive of layouts - there was nothing running, it wasn’t entertaining so move on. In that respect the late Holiday Haunts was a joy to watch, so too Stoke Summit. However, very few portray the shunting aspect of railway operation as it should be. Most operators don’t have much idea how it was really done and that spoils the effect.

  5. I have no experience of either of these cars, mine was a Porsche Boxster. Oh what a wonderful drive. My great bugbear is those who think it’s a Porsch. The ‘e’ is not silent. They’re in the same mould as those who think it’s prostrate cancer. Here the ‘r’ is silent.

    Sorry for the rant.
