  1. And you will love it!! Beware she can still fit in that one piece leather jump suit to.
  2. Morning all, 18c today and cloudy, coming in to autumn here and we all think it's the best time of year. Re; Ian Abel, I am sure we had Compass Airlines here in Australia a few years ago, due to our strict aviation authority's regulations they spent more time on the ground than in the air. So, they packed up and went home.
  3. I and my lovely wife went to a Suzi Q concert here a couple of weeks ago, her last Australian tour and I believe her last gig. Fantastic, we've never seen so many people over the age of fifty at a true rock & roll concert and she is 69. What an age to hung up your boots and "Can The Can" Two and half hours on stage. Thanks Trisonic for showing, "There an't no age for rock'n'roll". Tex
  4. Morning all, cloudy day on the east coast of Tasmania, heading for a high of 22c. Thankyou all for the kind ratings and reply's I've received from you all on RMW and ER. I don't get out the house much due to illness so it's a great site to wile a way a few hours of the day. Keep the banter coming it's a bl#$dy good book, far cry to that Facebook. Cheers,Tex
  5. Great info here from all, I thought perhaps the point's were to tight for them, changed wheel set's, no problem. While we are on six wheelers could it be possible that this is also causing my old Hornby Triang 0-6-0 (1966) doing the same? Cheers, Tex.
  6. Yes Petethemole, it was filmed in a few different locations, mostly in the central highlands, it help's to be a bit "wild" to live here.
  7. That's very comforting to know, I find it hard to try and not tell everybody what happened today but I don't want to ruin their day.
  8. Tasmania, very bottom of the island called Australia.(we live on the mainland island) Much of our heritage stem's from the convict day's, late 1700's-1800's from mother England and on top of them a filthy rich bunch from Scotland, (the land owners, which was given to them by the authorities for a couple of cases of whisky, or rum.) The term "pomme" to which you may have or have not heard was the mixed bred of convicts, Irish, Cornish, Welsh etc. Pomme is a acronym, meaning; Prisoner Of My Majesties Empire. 2012 census population... "wait for it" 500,000. Ok, that's a brief geography and history lesson for one day. Up ya kilt, Cheers Tex
  9. Thanks for all the likes guys, bit like when you walk in a pub and you know everybody, when there's no pub and you don't know anybody? Ok it's well after noon here. Tex.
  10. Morning all, as it approaches 6:pm here in Tasmania. Just thought I've have a look at this thread, as I'm only quite new to RMW and "NO WAY"!!! was I going to start from page one. What I have discovered is a sense of character with different individual's that appear quiet regular on RMW. Well we really are a fun bunch to have around, not the ( if I may quote Chris Nevard ). "Tweed wearing, tartan thermos carrying, rivet counters". So have a bonza day and "I aweways as un roon noon" Tex.
  11. Thanks for continuing, please keep the photos coming they are fantastic.
  12. This last pub of yours Allan reminds me of one here in Tasmania. The Parattah Hotel (now private residence) in the central midlands. It's stands next to the old railway yards and I thought it was the station being so close to the main line tracks. I'm unable to upload a photo but here's the web address if you would like to view it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/parattahLove your work and this thread. cheers, Tex. PS The unloading crane is across from the pub.
  13. After much research on where to model a GWR, LMS joint it all puts me here at the FOD. MY plan is to have GWR doing the branch and local services with LMS xp freight and passenger on a through station layout, would this make sense on a fictitious location near the FOD. All feedback welcome, cheers Tex.
  14. Well I have just been trough this thread and it's fantastic, I was horrified when you talked about "pulling the plug" on RMW, so glad you stayed with it. I'm from Tasmania but plan to model GWR, LMS joint, the photos are great and one answered part of my coaling stage. The use of an elevator in the coaling stage, only photo I've seen one. So please keep it up, I will be following your thread even though it's hard to comment on somewhere I've never been. Cheers Tex.
  15. Hi all, I'm from beautiful beaches Beaumaris near St Helens north east coast Tasmania, planning to do a GWR, LMS, early BR(w) layout. I was born & bred in Murray Bridge Tailem Bend Area. I would love to model the old station & bridges, goods yard & river @ Murray Bridge but, if any of you guy's now the area it would be a monster layout, in 00 scale you would need almost 16m x 2m to fit it all in. Nice to dream but. I've only just joined the forum & found this site by accident, so here I am, hope we can catch up on different threads some time. Cheer's Tex.
