  5. Good morning all, Here's the link to this week's update: http://quornwagonandwagon.co.uk/2022/02/06/company-vehicles-only/ Cheers, Ross
  6. I don't think we can claim the first time, its hauled the vans and freight at the Nene Valley before on a 30472 Charter, but it was very exciting to hear to it was going to happen! The pictures are among my favourite of the van train.
  7. Not from me, Tornado has left the railway to go for its overhaul. Tornado was on a Photo Charter with the van train and at the East Coast Weekend. Photo here is from one of the railway's Official Photographers, Joe Connell.
  8. Hi All, Sorry for the delay in post. I'll try and get better at posting the links on here. Here's the link to this weeks update: https://quornwagonandwagon.co.uk/2022/01/30/30-01-22-galas-gales-and-green-cladding/
  9. Apologies for the radio silence again. Here's a link to this week's update. https://quornwagonandwagon.co.uk/2022/01/09/couplings-sacks-and-ropes/
  10. Hi all, Here's this week's update. https://quornwagonandwagon.co.uk/2021/12/19/19-12-21-check-up-for-a-grampus-or-two/
  11. An oddjobs weekend for us while the Railway gets settled into the Christmas period. Dave has provided some assistance to C&W's ongoing FO and work has continued on the Bogie Bolster. https://quornwagonandwagon.co.uk/2021/12/05/05-12-21-oddjobs-and-assistance/
  12. Hi all, Thanks for checking in. Matt usually shares the update on the forums, but sadly he's not been too well and between Dave and I we've forgotten to share here. Our apologies! Here's a link to this week's update: https://quornwagonandwagon.co.uk/2021/10/17/17-10-21-back-on-the-brakes/
  13. This week's update: https://quornwagonandwagon.co.uk/2021/07/04/04-07-21-bckomplete/
  14. It's all happening here! We've no tractor for the BRUTEs as yet. We're still learning something about them, yesterday was a spot of impromptu training, and trying to spot the detail differences between the 2 we have. We're excited to see what we can do with them.
  15. Thank you. I much prefer spray painting, but I'm getting to like brush painting now!
  16. Yes, we thought it was very similar to LMS/BR(M) handbrake standards, which have the same hook to prevent the wheel turning and the same 'Off' indicator.
  17. Hi Mike, I didn't forget (although Matt did remind me!). If you need the photos in a higher res, let me know and I'll put them on a sharing platform and send a link. Kind regards, Ross
  18. I'm sure we can sort that, I'll try and remember to take some pictures and I'll put them here next weekend. I won't focus on the wheel so much as it doesn't have the correct wheel on at present.
  19. Thank you very much Graham. We'll update the page, but we also want to show the picture to the coach's owner who doesn't 'do' the internet before we do. He used to do a fair amount of Scottish Rail Rovers, so may have traveled in the coach at some point! We got to filling the coach before we were told not to return to site until COVID had rebated a bit, so we are still waiting to return.
  20. Sorry for the thread ressurection/necromancy! I've just found the picture in this post of a BCK, SC21202 at Georgemas Junction. I'm currently part of a team restoring this coach in its later guise as a Breakdown Train Living Van at the GCR. Could we use the picture of the coach on the coaches profile page on our website? https://quornwagonandwagon.co.uk/adb977107/ Cheers, Ross
  21. The guard would have had their hand lamp for illumination inside the van. In fact, our LMS brake has a handy bracket fitted to the wall next to the desk to hang the lamp from its side handle. @Quorn Wagon should be able to give you more detail though.
  22. I believe it reads: "FOR USE IN KINGS LYNN DOCKS ONLY"
  23. Not for this wagon, no. This wagon was used for gas cylinder traffic taking bottles from the gasworks to depots servicing buffet cars, but not necessarily Bracebridge. Sometime we like to use Return to or Empty to locations that are close to locations that are personal to members of the group, in the absence of a location being found on the vehicle.
  24. This week's update, a continuation of the Vehicle in Profile series. https://quornwagonandwagon.co.uk/2020/05/17/vehicle-profile-6-salmon/
