It looks like this loco could see me break my "Never pay more than £100" rule. I'm going to have to take a serious look at my current rolling stock and see what can be sacrificed in order to finance this extravagance. Only trouble is, I will then be faced with the dilemma of which version to buy! All three would sit comfortably with my current setup, but seeing as there's no DRS ones left, it comes down to choosing between the Chiltern or the Scotrail.

I'd really love to get one, but unfortunately my numbers didn't come up in the lottery last night, so I'm going to have to pass.

Hattons appear to have had a strange way of deciding who got what and when. I too received 001-004 at the same time, and received 006 about a week later. At the same time their website showed 005 and 006 as "in stock" and available for sale, but I never received 005 and they've all now disappeared from the website. I await the arrival of 005, but so far in vain. As others have already said, hopefully Dapol will realise that selling decent quality wagons at reasonable prices means that they don't sit around on shelves for very long. Perhaps they can force the other manufacturers to have a rethink about their recent price hikes of old models and over the top pricing of newer ones!

Only got 4 wagons (01-04) from Hattons yesterday, despite having all 6 on pre-order. (I'm asuming I didn't pre-order early enough to get the first stocks of 05 and 06 which they obviously didn't receive enough stock of - hopefully more stock will arrive soon) Have to say that I am well impressed with the quality of these models (heavier than the larger HHA Bachmann version) - 10/10 Dapol! A refreshing change to see a model produced that is worth every penny. Just goes to show (are you listening Bachmann and Hornby??) that it is possible to produce quality models at a sensible price!
