  1. I'm sorry...but I'm actually still in shock with the price!!! How many models were made? What all liveries has he got? And in reply to your post quoted, that's the best strategy adopted by a manufacturer. I hope Phil does a Class 86 or Class 87 sometime.
  2. £160...Are you serious? For an extremely-super detailed OO gauge DC analogue Class 24?? That's a wonderful price for such a well detailed model.
  3. Thanks, I noticed slw@railexclusive.com on the note put up by Holland Park.
  4. Thanks so much. And how much is the cost for a DC OO gauge one?
  5. Looks lovely....When can it be purchased from? And what's the cost?
  6. I must say that looks wonderful... So Sutton Loco Works is a new brand then? I'd love to see them do a Class 86 and Class 87. Since I'm sure it's aimed at a niche market of collectors who love fully detailed and fully functional models, an electric with proper sound, detail and DCC operating pantos will be ace!
  7. Quite agree...Only thing from what I saw before and what I see now, the faces seems a bit more realistic (I think earlier ones were glossy and these have the proper matte finish)

    Dapol 142

Nothing different. The same EP we've seen previously. http://s733.photobucket.com/user/raxmk1/media/warley%202015/003_zpsw4rebyxz.jpg.html Dapol have been focusing on OO gauge in the last couple of months by the looks of it (Class 73, Class 68, Class 59, LNER A4 etc.)
  9. I've also been wondering why many are saying Mk.3s will be made. Not seen it mentioned anywhere.
  10. I like steam too...Quite a few steam locos found a place in my heart! Personally I feel every manufacturer should not really stick to one type. I'd really love Hornby to spread it's wings...They have what it takes. They just decide to stick to steam locos. It would be nice if they had one or two proper AC electrics in their fleet. If they want to be known as Britain's Most Well Known Household Name then I think they should have something for everybody - am I wrong?
  11. I think the Dapol Black Label range is marvelous.....Nice to see such outstanding features on a British OO gauge outline model!! Wishful thinking - I'd hope they do some of these in future:- - Class 37 - Class 47 - Class 66 - Class 86 - Class 87 - SR Battle of Britain/West Country/Merchant Navy (streamlined and non-streamlined) - LNER A3 - BR Britannia

  13. Hey guys....If anyone's attending Warley today, can you'll ask Hornby if the R3390TTS VTEC HST train pack comes with two HST power cars or just one? http://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/class-43-hst-virgin-rail-east-coast-with-tts-sound.html

    1. sub39h

      sub39h

It'll be two - they've never sold individual power cars.

    2. DonB

      DonB

Think he means two power cars or one powered plus a dummy?

    3. Metr0Land

      Metr0Land

Or does he mean 2 sound chips?

  14. Ahhh well at that price, I'll be surprised if they sold any....

    Q6

Just one question.... what were the 2 completely different vans? Isn't this the LMS CCT? http://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/lms-4-wheel-cct-van.html And this the FISH VAN? http://www.Hornby.com/uk-en/br-blue-spot-fish-van-e87085.html
  16. Or just re-tool it and sell it as a train pack (worth £209.99 then IMHO).....something to modern standards. Sadly because Hornby are obsessed with steam, now they seem to be doing what others are doing. This leads to closed-minds blaming Hornby for duplication. See if only Hornby did modern era stuff more often!
  17. It's obviously an EP...Yes it is Bullied wheels. These are the wheels the final model will have - http://2e7fd430838d304f1516-467f5d9f2ca7b7b12f8a116e60ea9c1d.r77.cf3.rackcdn.com/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/r/3/r3429.jpg
  18. UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! I was actually expecting a re-tooled Class 91. What was I thinking?? Anyway as many have now stated, R3501 VTEC Class 91 + DVT pack is actually coming with 2 Mk4 coaches. Nonetheless I am not buying the train pack. If you go by 2015 prices then you'll have the following:- - Class 91 £89.99 - Mk.4 DVT £28.49 - Mk.4 coach £28.49 - Mk.4 coach £28.49 ----------------------------- £175.46 ----------------------------- This means that this year the train pack is an extra £34.53 this year. That's a bit silly... The only disappointing thing about this year's announcement is this train pack.
  19. https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/mcqGmI7xOTMpRUtwYEouOmLR4Fm9Z3wm6ik8uZMy4un?_encoding=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0&mgh=1 Credits to Edge of this parish.... EDIT: Never saw the post above.
  20. Ummmm I think that's a handrail...not a handrail knob.
  21. Never heard of any announcement.
