  1. Anyone who is interested in making their own wheels would do well to take a look at the work of Sid Stubbs. There is a lot of information giving a lot of detail on the Manchester Model Railway Society website at www.mmrs.co.uk or this link goes direct to the page with all the information you need to turn your own form tools - www.mmrs.co.uk/technical/wheels.htm
  2. That's going to be another great looking little layout there Chris. Looking forward to seeing the progress on that.
  3. Nigel, I built one of these 3 or so years ago for a friend for Christmas. It was the simplest etch kit I have ever built and it just went together very easily. It is an excellent starter kit not only for 7mm but for anyone starting building etched kits. Enjoy the build. The only extra I added were Dingham couplings which my friend used. Ralph
  4. At the Manchester show the first weekend in October we usually have demonstrations going on and they often show work being done on a lathe. These are frequently done by none other than our President Sid Stubbs who is usually delighted to share his knowledge with anyone who wants to ask. Can't guarantee he will be there this year though as he is now over 90 years old but come along and see. (Spelling mistake corrected!)
