There are some articles about making wagon turntables using CDs but it depends on what diameter turntable you need.
-
Looks like a good day out.

Still love that crane! Have you reached a sticking point with the layout or is it stock building issues? I seem to remember point rodding and wheels.

Faster, Faster not that I can talk......

I feel that as made the wheel centres need to be checked on a jig, A simple one would consist of two axles protruding at right angles from a plate at the base of one axle would be a concentric rim to check the wheel centre fit the other would be recessed to accept the wheel centre with rim fitted. Both axles could be tapered to reduce stress on the wheel centres.

I think this is really great and restores my faith in parents.

Looks good to me!

Gabapentin at 900mg/day can have some side effects, suicidal thoughts and a general downer on mood. MrsB often asks why am I here etc she has her's three times a day but could do with the ability to take some before she wakes up.

Good luck Frank I hope you and your wife have a much better 2012.
-
Finish it the best you can if you still don't like it swop the wheels back to 00 and ebay it. You might be surprised!

I think this might be teaching granny etc but is it the gears? Having swopped the axles has the relationship between the gears altered? Mick
-
If you are not using the P4 wheels I would be interested in having them. I too have one like that to finish. Mick

cut the axle to the correct length so when the wheels are flush the back to back is correct then bend the cradle so it fits inside the wheels and gives a little clearance with the bearings installed. I hope this is helpful.

Sorry I never saw your original request, while I am sorting books out for ebay I can have a look through and see what might turn up.

Considering the mess when the store was burnt out not so long ago it looks good. Do they ever move the trams out I have lived nearby for years and have never seen any trams on lowloaders.
-
I think you have done a really good job there.

Put a halt on the longest leg of the inglenook perhaps make it a MOD line so normal regulations do not apply?
-
How about an Inglenook plus an interchange siding for the 009 system with the hanger/slipway at the side?
-
Looks like a long way from Yorkshire to me Good Luck Mick

Good luck for Friday and I like the way you have started, the bus might not be exciting but it is not central to the layout is it.Have you built the fiddle yard yet I am interested in lining up code 75 track at the moment I am using brass bolts.
-
I like this proper engines too but I don't understand why you have boxed over the fiddle yard?
-
They sound excellent so are you selling them to all and sundry (please) and if so how much is it per etch?

How about the by-products of a small gasworks, all the tricky stuff off site further left. Siding to the right stored tar wagons or something similar. To the left goods inwards at bottom middle tar collection top goods outwards. You could justify 2 engines as part of a much bigger setup.
