I think the motorised underground stock is a masterstroke, especially if it has lights and is DCC ready. Already ordered one and fingers crossed for a 1959 stock in due course!!

For completeness of the thread, the relevant CV is 124, taking values of 0 or 128 to flip the modes in the Lokpilot FX. Thanks for the help! JJ

Thanks Pete. My layout is controlled by a MERG unit, not sure if they go to 257+. Will look into the SPROG. my test track is connected to the zephyr!

Yes, all in the correct order. I think kaput may have hit the nail on the head. unfortunately my controller (zephyr) doesn’t deal with Cv’s above 257 and the only other controller I have access to is an ECoS which won’t either! i might see if if can sort it via JMRI decoder pro but that is a whole new level of DCC for me! guess the passengers will have to sit in the dark!

I've just fitted an ESU FX4 decoder to my 4-TC and the lights at the front and the back come on, and can be independently switched off but I can't get the coach interior to respond to any of the functions? As far as I can gather the FX4 is a 6-fn decoder - does anyone have any ideas? Thanks! JJ

It's the lack of communication that's causing most of the problem. I placed an order 2 weeks ago, not heard a thing about it, other than an email telling me it had dispatched, with a tracking number. Trouble is, the courier have never heard of it and still no parcel....
