  1. After Bachmann has cancelled/suspended the retooled class 166 what about this DMU? Many variants (165,166,168,170) and liveries to produce. Just a thought...
  2. Hi Jacob, Thanks for your supportive reply. I will play with the settings (most are very difficult to understand) of my 8 year old Lumix FZ38. I hope I can take a few pictures or videos in acceptable quality at daylight before christmas or during the holidays. Guido
  3. Hi Jacob, I like the layout and especially the Colas fleet. May I ask what camera you have used for the night shots? Your pictures have a very good quality. I am looking for a new cam. My old ones are not good enough for the bad lighting conditions in my railway room. Therefore I have no layout thread started yet (also modern image including a TMD). Guido
  4. A class 20 with working lights. Or something newer that no-one built before: a class 180 or 185 would be very nice.
  5. Hi Richard, I understand that you can not guarantee a fast delivery after you handed over a parcel to the courier. This is out of your control and I think that most people understand this. And no question if you have to hand over the parcel until 4pm you can not await a same day despatch if you place your order at 3pm. But my impression is that the same day despatch deliveries have priority 1 and all the other orders have a lower priority even express shipping (I know that express delivery is the courier's service and not yours). And this is dissapointing if you pay a lot for this - seen from the customer's perspective. To be honest, the only reasons why I order most of my stuff at Hattons are the simple checkout process and the relative cheap international shipping costs compared with the other retailers. Not the prices and not the service. A good service is a service that you don't need because everything runs fine. Thanks anyway. I'll try it in the next days to see if the despatch times have shortened. Guido
  6. Hi Richard, Thank you for explaining the situation. I placed several orders during this year and my experience is that it takes normally 2 or 3 working days from order to despatch. Not only in September and October. This is especially frustrating if I had to select the very expensive intl. express delivery (due to size or weight) and the parcel itself takes 15 hours or less from Widness to Germany. BTW DHL does a great job with the express service. Why do you not offer same day despatch for express deliveries? Kind regards Guido
  7. It's not too late for that...
  8. Wow! What a difference with all the grass, bushes and trees. Like it very much!
  9. What a brilliant idea! In my eyes you have earned a prize just for this unusual concept.
  10. English version of the first shop link: https://www.zinnfigur.com/en/Casting/Moulds/Prince-August/25-mm-1-72/1789-1815/Gebhard-Leberecht-von-Bluecher.html
  11. Hi John, What about these figurines? 25mm high, made of rubber: https://www.zinnfigur.com/Zinngiessen/Giessformen/Prince-August/25-mm-1-72/1789-1815/Gebhard-Leberecht-von-Bluecher.html Or 60mm high: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Figurine-MHSP-Original-Bl-cher-Prussien-Waterloo-1815-Napol-on-Empire-Figuren/272262075590 I would go for the first one. Just paint it grey, sand or in a dark colour and glue it on a scratch built base like this: http://www.modellbahn-fokus.de/product/H0/FALLER/Häuser/4-39-004017-0-7875-0-de-0-1-0-0-0-1-0-0/index.html "Leberecht" could be the name of a prussian town. "Leberecht" is a compound word composed of "Lebe recht" ("live right") or "Leber echt" ("liver real/true"). The first translation sounds much better and more plausible to me ;-) Cheers from Prussia Guido
  12. I like the idea of a TMD. You perfectly used the space and you can add a lot of details later. I will follow your thread with interest.
  13. What a good idea to put the Wickham trolley in that little scene. Like it very much.
  14. Your scratch built cable trunks are much more realistic and much cheaper! Great work again. I like also the close couplings.
  15. Great news! This time I will order a ScotRail version. But for ordering I am a little confused about the item numbers. Dapol's digest is showing the 4D-022-008 as ScotRail "Daring" and the 4D-022-009 as DRS "Astude". Hattons, Kernow and Rails showing them vice versa. Maybe just a little mistake on the Digest website?
  16. I ordered 3 items on Monday. All are in stock but not shipped until today. The previous delivery contained some wrong items. After emailing the customer service I returned them. The replacement items are now on their way but no one asked how much I paid for the postage (this will be replaced wrote me the customer service). And so I have to contact the them again. Unfortunately I had more negative experiences in the past and I spent a lot of money in there since I started again with the hobby. Sorry, but I can not say they have an excellent service...
  17. Maybe they have some in stock: http://www.kbscale.com/track-parts.html RA01 - Code 82 Rail, Peco IL-115 (Pack of six 36" lengths) for £9.00 I would ask them before ordering. I have no experiences with this seller.
  18. Hi Charly. Do you have any idea when the DCC fitted 156-111 will be shipped?
  19. Yes Phil, you are right. And thanks for your support. But it wasn't my intention to buy a specific item. Usually they have very competitive prices and I browse through their products from time to time to see if they have something I am interested in. So there is no need for me to ring them. I just want to know if they are in business or not. And today an online shop is an important part of a model shop's business. And they should know that their website is not working. Guido
  20. The website is offline since a few days. It seems there is a problem with the domain herefordmodels.com. I think the shop still exists and it is just a technical issue. Or has anybody other information?
  21. Absolutely brilliant! Very atmospheric with the lights and interiors.

    Unifrog?

I like the idea of the Unifrogs. In my eyes it is a big progress and it helps to reduce the number of different points. Then it is much easier for beginners because they have not to decide which type of point they have to buy. But with the change if frog design Peco should also replace the plastic check rails with metal ones in the whole Code 75/Code 100 range.
  23. It seems that it has no built-in functions for editing CVs. Here is the manual: http://www.dynamisdcc.com/documents/railcontroller-manual-en.pdf
  24. Same here. I decided to buy the DCC fitted version only due the price of the sound version. But the video whets my appetite. Great sound!
  25. Do you mean that one: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Rivarossi-HO-HR2475-Dampflok-Reihe-989-1-OBB-ex-USATC-S100-Ep-III-Neu-AND-/352000773385
