Accurascale Class 55 Deltic - 4mm scale
RD400 replied to Andy Y's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
Steve Thanks you very much for this I’ve had a go and with your easy to follow instructions I did first time. Using your instructions I presume I can move any of the functions to suit how I’d like operate my loco. Again thanks a lot for your help in the past I’ve made lots of mistakes but now I feel confident in using the programmer more now and can see the benefits of having it. Mick -

Many thanks for this I’ve also got the loksound decoder tester so I can plug the decoder into this when it’s connected to the programmer -

Thanks for the replies wow that’s a lot of cv`s to change I do have a loksound programmer if this would be a easier option so I can save the cv`s using the programmer. I`ve looked at decoder pro but never used it. -

Can some one help how can I change what each function key does as my controller only goes up to F28 and because my deltics don`t have wipac lights as on F22/F23 I wanted to change them for the functions on F29/F30 I have a ESU programmer if that would help in changing these any help most welcomed. -

Just received my rake of tops ones taking advantage of the Black Friday deal boy do they look nice and if I pluck up courage to weather them it can only add to already superb wagon -
I'm thinking that a driver would get into one engine then start that one up then would have to make his/her way to the second engine to start that one up if that is how it's done then there would be a time delay in the second engine starting . If I'm wrong in how this would be the start procedure if some one could explain the start procedure for double heading that would be great .
-
Thanks for that Paul would you know what the time difference is between 0 and 255 when i make the change to the cv

Have a question got class 20 double head Paul Chetter sound from digital trains on zimo I've had a read of the zimo manual is there a way so chip B the second engine start up to delay it any more than it does and for it to also run longer after the first engine stops . This would be more realistic as it currently starts up and stops so shortly after the main chip A does any help would be grateful received.

I'm using zimo sound by Tony Molyneux drive Digidrive scheme it does sound good still setting the different f number functions with the cv's to try to get the sounds as I like them I'll do another video once get computer running and up load it

That's correct stuck the motor with extra strong double sided tape to the weights in the tank

I've started to fit a em2 into a Bachmann class 37 nearly finished it but just at the moment other things have taken over it does sound out of this world. This is the first time I've attempted this kind of fit milling the chassis out had me worried but as they say nothing ventured nothing gained If anyone wants any more info or pictures I've taken quite a few
-
Well since I started the topic off I've found it most interesting having never undertaken a big speaker fit and the folk on this forum have not let me down with answers and pictures so having brought a lot of the em2 speakers at York I've fitted me first one to one of my deltic's I've gone down the route of fitting it in the belly tanks and using a Paul Chetter sound file and boy does it should good so much so I've only got a small tmd layout that I'm building and run it on there can't wait till later in get to build my bigger loop layout then it can really stretch its legs. Any way few pictures below of the deltic knowing what I know now I'd have milled the body the Steve B way but lesson learned So on the bench now is one of my class 37's in bits and thank goodness for a myford lathe and a vertical slide let the metal removal begin pictures of that will follow.
